Day 4 of 10 Days of Prayer ( Jan 2021)

Day 4 of 10 Days of Prayer
By: Kelly Michalczyk

Today I am going to encourage you to get the whole family involved and go for a PRAYER WALK together.  As you walk, you can pray for the families on your street, apartment building floor, or the whole block.  When you are in prayer for your neighbours you will begin to notice: it’s hard not to smile at them when you see them go by, you will look for ways to be kind to them, and your heart will be toward them.  What an amazing example to our children to see our posture toward those around us.

Of course, we will be praying for everyone to experience the tangible love of God in wonderful ways.  You can also pray for their health and wellness, marriages, protection, job and financial security, help with school, joy, restoration, … or anything else that God hints at as you walk by.

Too cold? Live out in the country? Hop in the car and take a PRAYER DRIVE.  You can drive to:

  • Hospitals (health, healing, wellness, all of the staff and residents, …)
  • Schools (staff, students, health, creativity for learning, ….)
  • City Hall (governments, city staff, wisdom, ….)
  • Local Businesses (creativity in safely operating, lot of business, employees, ….)
  • Churches (pastors and their families, wisdom to help with the unique needs, ….)

Let’s go and pray!

Here are just a few promises found in the Bible that you can recall or declare as you are praying today.  And now I want you to leave a verse you love declaring over those you love in the comments below.

GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS

“I love the Lord because he hears and answers my prayers.  Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath.” Psalm 116:1

GOD’S SAVING POWER

“Sing to the Lord; bless his name.  Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.” Psalm 96:2

HEALTH AND HEALING

“I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.” Jeremiah 30:17

LONELY NO MORE

“…to the lonely he makes them part of a family.” Psalm 68:6 (TPT)

HELP THEM UP

“If someone is brought low and you say, ‘Help him up,’ God will save the downcast.  Then even sinners will be rescued by your pure hands.” Job 22:29-30

We pray for the residents living in long-term care homes. We declare that fear and loneliness are cast down. These residents are refreshed in the knowledge that they are loved and cared for by Almighty God. They realize that they are locked in to the family of God.

We thank you Lord for all of the ” essential workers “. The mailmen/postmistresses, the psw’s, the nurses, the doctors, the paramedics, and the workers that work in Long Term Care Homes.

We want to lift up our neighbors especially, the ones on our street, the many children who play in the park across the street, and the many people who take their dogs for a walk.

We lift up our Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Worship, and Sound Team and all other volunteers @ Impact Church, along with our whole Impact Church Family, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ for health, peace, and encouragement.
