Day 9 of 10 Days Of Prayer January 2024

Day 9 of 10 Days Of Prayer January 2024

Today we are going to pray for families.

In a world where it is really easy to be generationally isolated – I am going to make a bold statement and say that no community is a complete community unless children are present – including the Church. The Church is not complete without children.

With that being said, we, at Impact, want to champion families of all shapes and sizes. We want families to know that God looks at you – where you are – and loves you. He sees all the effort and is proud of you.

One of the best ways to value people of all ages is to have a place where young and old co-mingle. A community where all are wanted. All are needed. All are relevant. When every generation is engaged and valued then everyone’s faith formation can be deepened. There is the opportunity to see faith lived out in a different stage of life. Each person can see themselves as part of a larger whole. Each person sees themselves as part of the family.

I know God wants to advance His purposes through our prayers. Our prayers make a difference. So, take some time today to pray for families.

Pray for divine health. Pray for strong marriages. Pray for children to grow up experiencing God. Pray for the aging. Pray for single parent families. And pray for those who are not currently following Jesus.

There are some verses in the blog that you can declare over your family today to get you started. In the comments, leave a favourite promise of your own that you pray. Pray for the generations in the Impact Family.

We see your heart for relationships that connect us, protect us and serve as a sign to the watching world that sacrificial love for those closest to us is a blessing to give and receive. “Lord, thank you for families represented at Impact church. Each of us has a role to play and I ask father that you will give us confidence to step into the things your calling each of us to. May we celebrate as individuals get involved and as a result feel your love through this big family! Thank you that we can see other peopes faith lived out at each stage of life. Holy Spirit draw prodigal sons/daughters back to your house, May they see you running with open arms as we welcome them in the doors. Amen”

Praise you Lord for families they are so important. We pray that in-spite of the attack on families in our culture you raise up and keep families strong in every nation. Thank you for the families at Impact and for the Sunday School teaching the children about Jesus. Over this coming year bring many more families to join us at Impact helping them grow in their love for Jesus.

Jesus, You care for each individual in very special ways. You have created families for all of us and for those who are lonely, maybe estranged from their families at the moment, those who may be far from their families geographically, You say in Your Word (Psalm 68:6) that “You place the lonely in families”. Father, thank You for family units and thank You that the church can be family to those needing a family. Thank You for Your love. May we extend our love and open arms to each and everyone who come into our church family. I pray blessings, peace and favour over each family represented at Impact Church and for the families in our surrounding community. Amen.

I don’t have a favorite promise per se.
But I do pray each morning and especially Sunday AM that each and every person will be touched by God; If they don’t know Jesus as Lord & Savior, they will be touched in the service by His spirit and walk in His ways & if they aren’t walking in the ways that would please Him then they would be touched to do so. I pray for all families and leadership at Impact. Amazing blessings to attend and feel welcome. Thank you all….I appreciate it and all of you even if I haven’t met you all.
    Praise God
