Acts 2:16 “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;”

(NLT) “No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel:”

Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;”

John the Baptist summarised Jesus purpose for coming as:

Matthew 3:11  “… He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:”  

“Baptizo” :– to submerge, to immerse, to pickle, to saturate causing a permanent change.

Leviticus 6:13   “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”

Acts 1:4 “…but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;” 

Luke 24:49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

Anointing:– The person and power of Holy Spirit working through humanity to accomplish the or a divine purpose.       The unction to function.

1 Samuel 10:6 “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.”

Daniel 6:3 “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

Numbers 11:29 “Then Moses said to him, ‘Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!’”

Judges 15:14-15 “Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; … He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it.” 

Acts 10:38  “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, (euergeteō:— benefactor, a person who gives people money) and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

In Luke 3-4 we see this:
3:22 Spirit descended upon Him.   4: 1  Full of and Led by Spirit
4:14 Returned in Power of Spirit.   4:18 Anointed by Spirit
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because HE has anointed me…”

1 John 2:20, 27 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”

“But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you;”

This life is ours legally because of the blood and vitally because of our relationship with Holy Spirit. 

John 14:12 “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.”

We are anointed! 

The world needs what is in us to get upon us so that they can see the evidence of the superior kingdom that we operate in. 

The anointing is how we establish the flora of heaven on earth.

You can’t be more or less anointed but you can have more revelation on the benefits of the anointing.

You can also position yourself to be more effective in the flow and operation of the anointing … be more intentional.

2 Kings 4:1-6 “Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, ‘Bring me another vessel.’ And he said to her, ‘There is not another vessel.’ So the oil ceased.”

Demand determines flow.

Numbers 14:24  “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.”

Joshua 14:6-15 “…but I wholly followed the LORD my God. So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’”

Make Some Observations:

Anointing Captures Your Sight

(7) “the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.”

Anointing Quickens Revelation

(9) “Moses swore…be an inheritance to you…” 

I have the title deed to this property! Now, get out!

Anointing Arouses Passion

(12) “Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day” 

Proverbs 10:24 “…what the righteous desire will be granted.” 

Desire:– of the father … What possesses you fathers your desire.

Anointing Instills Patience

(11) “I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.” 

Stayed fit. Unshakable Expectation. 

Anointing Secures Results 

(14) “So Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb…”
