Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer

Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer, Door Opening Prayer
By: Pastor D. Karl Thomas

Welcome To “10 Days Of Prayer”

This has been some good praying. It’s true … the more you pray, the more you pray. The ground is being plowed open. The seed is falling on prepared soil. The harvest rains are beginning to fall!!!

Let’s do some Door Opening Prayer. What is shut up to us because we haven’t opened the door through prayer?

The righteousness that entered my heart through faith desires to speak.
The recreated righteous spirit on the inside of me desires to speak and bring forth the rule and reign of God’s kingdom in my life.

2 Thessalonians 3:1 “FURTHERMORE, BRETHREN, do pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed on (spread rapidly and run its course) and be glorified (extolled) and triumph, even as [it has done] with you,…”

Colossians 4:3 “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:…”

Ephesians 6:19 “And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,…”

1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.”

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

Follow this progression with me:
Paul asks for prayer so that he a door of utterance would be opened for the revelation he was given.
Then he asked that utterance would be given to him and that he would speak with boldness.
Then he says a wide door has been opened to him.
Then he says his preaching was accompanied by the power of God.

We should follow this same pattern.
1. Lets pray open a door of utterance.
2, Let’s pray utterance may given with bold proclamation.
3. Let’s pray for a demonstration of power to accompany the word.

We must pray for a wide door to be opened to us to go through and declare the word the Lord has given us with a demonstration of the power of God!!!

Our prayer will open the door to the prevailing word of God.

7 Results To Praying Open The Door Of Utterance

The Apostolic team was able to gain access.

2. Access Given To Nations
New communities were opened up to the demonstration of the Spirit

3. Access Given To The Harvest

4. Access Given To Holy Ghost Power
Peter 1:12 “… have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven;”

5. Access Given To Heavenly Realm
Evidence of heaven touching earth.

6. Access Given To Ammunition
“demonstration of Spirit and of power”

7. Access Given To Your Destiny
Doing the stuff God called me to do.
Ephesians 6:19-20 “…make known the mystery of the gospel,  for which I am an ambassador ….”

When God wants to change the world he touches someone’s mouth.

Jeremiah 1:9
“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, ‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.’”

Father God – we thank you that our voices speaking your words will accomplish much for the glory of your kingdom. We agree with your plans and purposes for our city in this significant season of increase and harvest. We declare doors that are opening, doors of access and utterance so that many who have not yet heard the good news of salvation by faith through grace will be touched and brought into the kingdom of your dear Son! Let us speak boldly and with great confidence in season and out.

“Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect.” [1 Pet 3:15]

Father, empower us to pray with conviction and to step out in boldness. May we come to you with eager anticipation and expectation knowing that we are praying in agreement with the intentional heart of our Heavenly Father. Thank you that you are opening doors of opportunity and blessing and that you are cheering us on as we move into this new season of fruitfulness. Thank you for this open door where we can enter in and share with others the goodness of who you are and the extravagant love of our Lord and Saviour. Jesus, we love you and we cherish the opportunities we have to share who you are with others.

Thank you God that you are opening doors, that according to Rev. 3:8 you have “set before us an open door that no one can shut”!
I declare many new people signing up for Alpha and for souls coming into the Kingdom. Thank you for anointing our mouths to declare your word and to believe for a demonstration to follow that word. Fall will be a great season of new beginnings.

Thank you Father for influence, for open doors to share the Gospel with people in this city and region that have not heard the word of your grace. Thank you for expansion, for harvest, and the power to be Your witnesses. Thank you for growth, acceleration, a deepening of relationships, and open doors for new relationships and new realms of influence for Your glory. Amen!

Thank you, Lord, for every person you have reconciled back to your heart through the faithfilled words of your followers. Thank you that you have called each and every one of us to shine your light into the world and show others the way to hope, life and love. I pray for greater opportunities to release your power and your glory through our relationships with family, friends, coworkers, neighbours, and even strangers that we meet throughout our day. In Jesus’ mighty name I call forth all your lost children who have turned away out of misunderstanding or misinformation. I pray for a renewed yearning in the hearts of men and women throughout London and surrounding area to seek the truth of Jesus Christ – the answer to every question. May doors continue to open where we can speak your truth either in word or deed, and that the world will know us by our fruit, and that they will want to experience your love firsthand. I thank you for this season of increase – increased revelation, increased fervour, increased demonstrations of your goodness… I speak to any doors previously closed by fear, that they may swing open wide and draw the broken-hearted into your loving arms. For it is in you alone that we can truly find rest and peace for our souls. I pray for those striving to find fulfillment in the things of this world, that they will come to see their fulfillment can be found only in relationship with our creator, the one and only, Jesus Christ – and that only out of relationship with him can we truly experience and receive the desires of our hearts. Thank you, Father, for your precious gift of direct access to the kingdom! Thank you for setting a fire in our souls, and that your every promise is true!
