Day 1 of 10 Days of Prayer

Day 1 of 10 Days of Prayer
By: Kelly Michalczyk

Welcome to 10 DAYS OF PRAYER!

I am glad you took the time to join in today.  Please pray the directives with us and take a moment to comment below – you can include your prayer, add a verse you like, share what you hear God saying, or simply let us know that you are tracking along.

Last time we had a season of prayer, I watched the videos, went through the material, and prayed with my daughter.  I would encourage you to use this as your family devotion as well.  I found it was very meaningful and it has the potential to be a landmark moment for your family.

Today is back to school for many people, so we want to pray for all students, parents, teachers, and school administrators.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES AND DECLARATIONS:

  • Everybody is going to have a smooth transition into new routines and classrooms.
  • There will be no anxiety, chaos, or confusion.  God equips us in new situations.
  • This will be a safe and healthy year filled with favour to learn, teach, and make new friends.
  • There are many opportunities to share and exhibit the love of Jesus.

Psalm 37:23 (NLT) reminds us that God delights in every detail of our lives.  He is pleased, tickled pink, and happy when we bring these requests to Him.  Don’t think for a moment that there is something about this new season that He doesn’t want to hear about.  “I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God.  Bend down and listen as I pray.” Psalm 17:6 (NLT) Keep taking part in this prayer time – it is a great season of growth and favour for our Impact Family.  “We succeed because you favour and smile on us.”  Psalm 44:3 (NLT)

Good Morning! I just wanted to say that I am watching, listening, and reading the prayer directives. Most important, I am praying! I pray” the peace of God that passes understanding over the administrators, the teachers, ( Karly) and all the students represented by our Impact people. I pray blessings over the staff of Impact Church London, the elders and deacons, the worship teams, and every member of the congregation. God Bless us all!

Big time of transition for families. We pray for all those embracing a new rhythm of life that they embrace it with grace. No anxious moments for any of our students. Favour with all their teachers and friends. Impact people are “A” students condemned to success. Bless all the teachers and all those engaging new jobs, courses, and seasons of life. Thanks you for new connections and people to IMPACT! Bless our team at Impact as we enter this new season.HARVEST!!!

What a day of change with so many going back to school routines or even establishing new paths that pursue their divine destiny! We declare peace and joy in the transition that will overcome any anxieties or misgivings- the unexplainable peace of Jesus and the joy the passes understanding will be strength that students and teachers alike.
We also declare a willingness and readiness to receive the overflowing increase that our Father is pouring out in the city of London as we participate in the outreach programs planned in the next weeks. May all of London be immersed in the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!

Praying that all the teachers in our congregation be releasers of the goodness and peace of God in the lives they serve.
God bless our teachers… God make this a landmark year for our children in their studies, in Jesus name.

Definitely needed this prayer today. It has been a rough couple of days of transition for us, but today will be a better day in Jesus name!

Well, it’s Friday and the first week of the 2017-18 school year is almost finished! As I was listening to Day 1, I wondered what my response could be as it has been several years since I have experienced a ‘first day of school’ with my children. While I was visiting my mother this morning I realized what I would do. So today, Mom and I watched Kelly’s message and then together we prayed God’s blessing upon the school year of Mom’s 6 great grand-kids. Psalm 78 outlines that is the older generations’ responsibility to see that future generations “put their trust in God.” So my insight from my experience today is that although it may seem that I no longer participate directly in the “Sept-Jun school experience”, I actually do through prayer. I am excited to see God’s answers throughout this school year to Mom’s and my prayers and to hear yours as well! Throughout Scripture when God’s people prayed, He responded. He has not changed.
