Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer 2020

Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer – See Yourself Here!
By: Zach Sloane

Welcome to Day 2 of Ten Days of Prayer

See yourself here!

Great Way to start off the new year, with vision with sight, insight.

Proverbs 29:18a (NIV)
“…Where there is no revelation [vision], people cast off restraint…”

Vision is a guiding force in our lives. We need vision, we need to see, and what we need to see before anything else is Jesus.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)
“…And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing           our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…”

I love that the author of Hebrews not only encourages us to see that there is a vision for our lives, but that by having our vision flooded with the light of the Person of Jesus Christ, that is the way that we run this race. Not only is he the Vision, but Seeing Him is the way to realizing it as well.

So at this time of prayer, pray it for yourself, your family, your Impact Church family, the whole body of Christ.

Ephesians 1:15-21
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

That we would see Jesus, our eyes flooded with Him like the old hymn, “be Thou My Vision”

18 “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”;

That we would be flooded with light and vision at the very core of who we are. This would not be a superficial vision, but it would grab us and grip us on the inside.

that you may know what is the hope of His calling,

That we would know deeply and intimately what he has called us to partner with Him in doing and in being.

what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

That we would see in ourselves and one another the inheritance of Christ, call it out in one another, and encourage one another in what God has done to us and put within of us.

19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe.

Not a prayer for power, but to realize the power we always have, to recognize its source, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to begin to function in it by grasping its presence within.

A very blessed New Year to my Impact family! As the number 2020 signifies perfect vision in the natural and repeats itself ‘at the halfway mark’, I pray that we will embrace, “Jesus is the perfect Vision!” and upon second thought, we will hold stronger to this revelation.
I am always amazed by this portion of Heb 12:1-2, “… marked out for us…”
Praying that this year we will have a greater revelation of Jesus and we will see clearly the vision He has already marked out for us to accomplish for Him, In His Name and by His power, that will affect those around us for Him glory.

Thank you Jesus for the power that you have already given me and for the way that you are able to get my attention, fix my focus, and make me to see. Thank you for life, light, and vision for me, my world, and all the people in it. In Jesus name, Amen!

Open our eyes Lord, we want to see Jesus! Everywhere and every day since the reality of His presence does not come and go but is promised to abide eternally. Tune our hearts to Your presence, our ears to Your voice and let our words be what You are speaking in this day! Much anticipation about turning over into a new decade where our vision will be full of your glorious beauty. Let our families, our Impact church and the many who are joining the movement locally, regionally and internationally be full of joy and great confidence for every day of this year, Crown this year with Your Glory!

Yes yes!!!! I got the same song as I was reading, Jesus… Be thou my vision.

“Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art

High King of Heaven, my victory won
    May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heav’n’s Sun
Heart of my own heart, whate’er befall
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all”

    Amen

“That we would see in ourselves and one another the inheritance of Christ, call it out in one another, and encourage one another in what God has done to us and put within of us.” –> THIS! Praying I see it, call it out, and encourage this inheritance in others.
