Day 9 of 10 Days of Prayer

Day 9 In Our 10 Days Of Prayer

Thank you for praying with us.  Continue to soak Sunday in prayer.

Your Quality Of Hearing Affects Your Quality Of Life.

Mark 4:24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.

Simeon was a man who heard and partnered with Gods purposes in his day.

Luke 2:25-32 25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: 29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word 30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation 31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, 32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

“Simeon”:– harkening, able to hear.

During the noise of his day he was able to tune into the frequency of Holy Spirit and he was in the right place at the right time.

SOMEONE IN EVERY GENERATION IS HEARING AND DECLARING THE PURPOSES OF GOD INTO THE EARTH … EVEN FOR JESUS TO COME THERE HAD TO BE A COMMUNITY THAT CONFESSED THIS!!!

How is this generation hearing?

3 Hindrances To Hearing

1. DOUBT

James 1:6-7 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;”

2. FEAR

Mark 5:35-36 “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.

3. UNBELIEF

Hebrews 3:16, 19, 4:2 “For who, having heard, rebelled? … So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief … but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

Basic Hearing Requirements

1. Truth “just and devout” (25)   Lay hold of well … He had embraced the truth well … working knowledge
2. Intimacy “Holy Spirit upon” (25)  Relationship with God tight with Holy Spirit
3. Available “waiting for” (25) Waiting … people who wait are strong … people who wait are ready ACTS FOR
4. Dependant “by the Spirit” (27)   Do everything in His power … go in His strength!!!
5. Obedient “he took Him up” (28)   Haven’t really heard until you manifest obedience …

“I Know That! .. NO!!!” IF YOU KNEW IT YOU WOULD DO IT!!!

What does 2014 look like for you?

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

You must speak His plans into existence … therefore you must be someone who HEARS WELL!!!

Gods promises must be activated by bold faith confessions.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES:

  1. Pray as the Spirit leads … take a moment and ask what is on the heart of God. You will hear. You can speak His purpose into manifestation.  Listen to the Spirit … say what He is saying.
  2. Pray for a hunger in God’s people to hear his voice.
  3. Pray that the church would grow in grace and the knowledge of God.
  4. Pray for the service Sunday. People will encounter God.
  5. Pray for leaders … pray for political leaders.

Excellent lesson this morning. Faith should be an intricate part of our daily lives. Make the effort to hear what God is telling you then be bold and act on God’s word for you.
    Continuing top pray the objectives.

It is so awesome that we hear God’s voice, I was so encouraged when I read this post that I had some goose bumps. I declare that on Sunday morning the whole church will come with such a hunger to hear God’s voice. I am so thankful that those coming hungry and in faith will be able to speak amazing things to the people they bring. I am thankful that people on Sunday will experience the grace of God and the love of God and be overwhelmed with the reality that God’s door is always open and unlocked for them. We declare that people will come home on Sunday, realizing that God is our home and like Augustine said our souls are restless until they rest in him!

We do pray Lord that on Sunday especially and even today, now, that your people would hear your voice and be so determined to develop that part of their relationship with you and be obedient to do your bidding. For political leaders we pray you would speak to them in their own language and that you would continue to lead them and guide and direct them in your ways to fulfill your purposes through them. May we be ever so mindful to pray for these political leaders throughout the world and see your glory manifested throughout!! We pray your would strengthen the leaders in our own church and give them ears to hear and eyes to see what you are saying to us in this very important hour. We desire to know you above and beyond all. Bless, bless, bless us all with yourself.

What a privilege we have Lord to quiet our hearts and listen to you! Increase our Faith and our sensitivity to your voice. May we share with others what we know and have experienced.
