Day 8 of 10 Days of Prayer

Day 8 Of 10 Days Of Prayer
Praying In The Spirit
We are always advantaged because we have the partnership of Holy Spirit.

“When your baptized in the Holy Ghost, He takes over! All the preaching, counselling and Bible reading you can absorb will be dead to you unless you have the Holy Ghost living in you! He makes you to understand and know it is God speaking!”
David Wilkerson

Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; …they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Praying in tongues is not an optional practice for believers.
Praying in tongues cause us to engage the rhythms of heaven.
Praying in tongues keeps us under and open heaven.
Praying in tongues causes us to develop spiritual acuteness.

Charles Carrin “Tongues is the only spiritual gift deliberately designed to attack man’s ego and pride; it exposes insincerity, self- centeredness, falsity, and other negative traits in believers.” “Because of its unique attack on the of its unique attack on the
human intellect, tongues remains the eternal “watch guard” at the gate. In a very calculated way this gift protects the other gifts from exploitation. The Holy Spirit will not allow us to choose one charisma and reject another.”

1 Corinthians 14:15 “…I will pray with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will also pray [intelligently] with my mind and understanding;…”
We pray to communicate with God. We expect to receive!
Prayer is not for  God’s benefit.

I do not speak in tongues the way the people at Impact would like but since being baptized with the Holy Spirit I have begun to recite prayers in several languages – Latin, Aramaic, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Polish. This is in line with my interpretation of Acts. Other people understood the tongues as being their own native language. The Lord’s Prayer is where I turn when I do not know what to pray. Am not disputing your interpretation(my special prayer language appears to be English though), it is equally valid. Who am I to judge how anyone experiences God? If you truly speak in tongues, that is an amazing gift, however, I do believe if tongues are forced or put on it is nothing more than a form of godliness lacking any true power. We are told to avoid this in 2 Timothy 3: 5.
Continuing to add my prayers to all of yours during this 10 days of prayer.

Father, we give thanks for how tremendously advantaged we are because of our ability to communicate directly to You and declare the mysteries of heaven and be built up in our spirits – all through speaking in tongues! The enemy cannot understand nor stop us when we engage in this ability available to all who have asked for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Deepen our dependence on this precious gift and expand our appetite for the spirituals. May we all become like the Apostle Paul – “I speak in tongues more than any of you” not to boast but to fully engage the empowerment and refreshing available to all who believe.

Make us hungry for more of you. May we never loose our first love. Let us be like little children full of life, trust, faith, joy, unjudgemental.

I so love that the Holy Spirit is always along side to help us in every part of our life. Thank you Holy Spirit that you reveal to us mysteries and that in each and every moment, as we interact with those we love and the world around us, that you love the people we are speaking to and that you can reveal mysteries to us that can help us love and care for those around us.

Thank you Holy Spirit that we can experience the embrace of the Holy Spirit and that in doing so we can breath new life into every aspect of our lives.

I love the fact that when Jesus left he did not leave us as orphans, the promise, proximity, and power of God available to us in the person of the Holy Spirit is incalculable…The Romans 8 Scripture is one of my favorites, God has set me up to win… Thank you Holy Spirit…that you aspirate not only the undefinable groanings of my own spirit but that you bring into definition the groanings and desires of my heavenly father…
Holy Spirit cause us to yield to your leading as we know it is for our good and for the good desire of God.
