Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer, Stronger Together

Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer, Stronger Together

Some possible reasons why we fail to gain traction with our dreams, they are not big enough, they are too lonely.

Even when it comes to vision, we need one another.

1 Corinthians 12:17-18

“If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole body were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.”

Psalms 33:11

“ The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart for all generations.”

God’s plans involve others, often the next generation.

Strength and Increase through the joints

Ephesians 4:16 (NKJV)
“from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Joints supply – lets look to be joined together to the body. What relationships can I invest into this year? Whose interests can I look out for?

Ephesians 2:22
“in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
God is into our connecting with one another in healthy, uplifting relationships.

Hebrews 10:25
“…not forsake the assembling of ourselves together” What if this means more than just meeting, but actually being assembled, being “put together.”

Matthew 18:19-20

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Were two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.”

There is power and glory in joining together, in working together.

Prayer Directives

Thank God for putting us in His body and giving us a role to play, as valuable and contributing members.

Pray that we can all be connected, planted in His body, fit together as living stones.

That we will embrace with excellence the call to serve one another, considering others’ interests as well as our own.

Lets pray for all of our relationships, for families, for friendships, for our small groups, and our face to face interactions with each other, that we would experience the glory of God together.

That we would grow in the grace and capacity to connect with others, to relate well, and to really love of another.

For the corporate vision and plan of God expressed at Impact Church, for its leaders, and for the wisdom and desire to lend our strength  to what God is doing through us as a body, and not just in our own individual words alone.

Morning ha broken here in Martinique and I am feeling at home with my Impact family. I often have a low regard for electronic devices but The Lord is softening my heart toward them. As wonderful as connecting this way, how much more in the spirit. 2017 will be a year of new, renewed, repaired and revitalized connections, Spiritually, socially, personally and corporately. God is able to do all he says, we are able to do all He says let us therefore encourage each other to reach His goals for us, for His church and for this world He so loved.

May the Spirit of God inspire us to be obedient to be led for His glory in whatever the situation. Others it’s always about others. Be blessed to bless others.

      OTHERS – love it Brian!

Zach – I love how you challenged our resolutions to be about community and others. “What relationships can I invest into this year? Whose interests can I look out for?”

      Praying the directives with everyone.

I learned first hand how much we need each other in the body of Christ. I am so thankful for those who stood with me in my time of need either in person or in prayer. Because we really are one body, when one part of the body is hurting , we all hurt.

Thank you Lord for placing us in your body of believers. Today weI pray as part of the body of Christ that our eyes will see the need of others, that our ears will hear and we will respond. We have been the recipient of the outpouring of love towards us in times of trial. How wonderful it feels to be surrounded by the love and comfort of Jesus delivered by the outstretched hands of His people. How can we do any less?.

Great video. I have recently started to realize how important community is. For a long time I tried to get by on my own, but the support I get from those at Impact has made life alot easier. Thanks to everyone who prays for me.

I pray I can become the same source of support to others within the community.
