Day #4 of 10 Days of Prayer

10 Days of Prayer 2016
Day #4 – Impact Kids

Welcome to day four of our 10 days of prayer. It is Monday morning and children all over Ontario are headed back to school after having a couple of weeks off to celebrate Christmas.

We want to focus our prayer on children today.

C.S. Lewis reminds us: “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.”

The great evangelist D.L. Moody said: “If I could relive my life, I would devote my entire ministry to reaching children for God.”

God-incarnate chose to come as a baby and grow as a child into a man. Sally Lloyd-Jones beautifully states how “there are lots of stories in the Bible. But all of the stories are telling one big story. The story of how God loves his children and came to rescue them. At the centre of that story is a baby. And every single story in the Bible whispers his name.” (Emphasis mine)

Let us get a glimpse of God’s heart for children from the Word:

Psalm 28:3 (NLT) “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”

Psalm 22:9-10 (NLT) “Yet you brought me safely from my mother’s womb and led me to trust you when I was a nursing infant. I was thrust upon you at my birth. You have been my God from the moment I was born.”

Psalm 71:6 (NLT) “You have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb you have cared for me.”

Psalm 8:2 (NLT) “You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise.”

Psalm 92:13 (NIV) “Those planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.”

Psalm 119:90 (NLT) “Your faithfulness extends to every generation.”

Psalm 112:2 (NLT) “Their children will be successful everywhere, an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.”

Proverbs 21:7 (NLT) “Children of the godly stand firm.”

Psalm 78:4-7 (NLT) “We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did … He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them-even the children not yet morn-that they in turn might teach their children. So each generation can set its hope anew on God.”

PRAYER DIRECTIVES:

Today the children are returning to school, pray that they transition well back into their routines. We declare success, we declare favour, and we declare FUN!

We speak health over the children and their families in this season. We have Divine health.

Proclaim the children will grow up experiencing the goodness of God: they know Him, enjoy Him, love Him, and share Him.

We have just set the date for our annual Kids Camp this summer. Pray for the team as they plan. Pray for many children to come, be exposed to Jesus, and welcome Him into their lives.

In less than 2 weeks, we have a mission team going to Haiti. Pray for the children we minister to in Haiti. Pray for the children in our orphanages, in the Haitian Church programs, and their community.

Thank you for praying with us. Please share what God has impressed upon you today.

We pray for our kids and all of the kids in our IMPACT family that they would know in their hearts the love and affection of God for them, and that His manifest tangible presence would be their daily experience. Our vision for our kids and for the rest of the kids we know is that they would be raised and grow before the Lord, in His presence like Samuel, growing in stature and the knowledge of the favour they have with the Lord. Our constant prayer is that they would have that anointing in 1John 2:27, the anointing that teaches all things, most importantly, to abide in Christ. That they will learn by that anointing that is in their own lives to eat of Jesus from a young and early age, that they would experience this anointing and its ability to teach them and lead them to partake of Christ so that good decisions and behaviour will flow from their partaking of Him and not the knowledge of good and evil prevalent in so much of the philosophies and strategies propagated toady for the raising of ‘healthy’ children. We pray that as parents and teachers we could partner with the Holy Spirit and His anointing that teaches, that Jesus in us, through and with us, and His anointing in their lives would be the dominant influence thats shapes our kids’ lives and experiences as they grow in each stage of life. And, that Christ in our kids would really be a sign and a wonder demonstrating the wisdom of God in the simplicity of Christ and His love.

Thank-you for all our children are returning to school, we pray that they transition well back into their routines. We declare success, we declare favour, and we declare FUN! We agree that those in authority will teach and impart godly values and morals to the next generation. We declare increase of prayer in our schools and learning centres. Canada is a Christian Nation!

We agree for and speak health over the children, their families and the teachers. We have Divine health, blessing and favour on our lives because of the work of the cross – we have good news. We says thank-you Jesus for all that is ours because of Your great sacrifice.

By our lifestyles we want to teach our children and see them grow up experiencing the goodness of God: to know Him intimately, enjoy Him, love Him, and share Him and His goodness to all peoples. We agree that church is associated with good thoughts of peace, safety, joy and freedom.

God we want to be launching pads for our children not lids – we want them to experience all your goodness and Kingdom resources – we declare our children will be fully actualized and carry the banner of your love to all they encounter!

May the annual Kids Camp this summer be the best attended, best experience and best weather ever. We agree the team will have heaven’s wisdom as they plan and prepare for camp. We pray for many parents to allow their children to come, be exposed to Jesus, and welcome Him into their lives. We agree for the necessary finances to be released for this summer event and all our activities.

Thank-you Lord for the mission team going to Haiti, we agree for favour in all the arrangements, plans and personal preparation. We pray for the children that are ministered to in Haiti – a great release of Your goodness God!. May the the children in our orphanages, in the Haitian Church programs, and their community excel in their studies, their health and outlook for the future.

I think our most important work is first to be best friends with God. Then we carry the real goods to be able to do the next more important work – bring Him into the presence of them who will walk with us now, and follow after us and carry Him further and more gloriously.

So Father. Let us carry the authentic relationship with you that brings you into focus in the eyes and hearts of these little ones who are just coming to know you for the first times and be established in the lifestyle of living before you all their days. Oh GOD, If you will be real in us, then possibly the little ones can see the reality of you in a way that they may come to fullness of the stature of the Christ too. And as you are real in these little ones, then possibly we big ones can see the reality of you in a way that we can come to the fullness of the stature of the Christ too. But I am certain that if we adults truly walk with you, then we will allow the children to the freedom to find and express you in all the ways you reveal yourself to them, and the freedom to talk about you and not like it’s a “make believe” world,, and I ask you God, How Important Is That? So; Please..
Yes, Father. So often these little ones can see you far more easily than we adults, may we listen to them and follow their lead as as so many of them walk so openly with you. Invade their world so that they can lead us into seeing you in the world we all live in. I think of Lucy, in the Narnia Chronicles. How easily she could see you, and how she always was looking for you; and how she was special in your eyes. God, we need these little ones, even as much as they need us.

Once again I find myself asking. Open our eyes to see you. See you more, and yes, include ways of seeing you that’s differently than we could envision you yesterday; and even in totally new ways that mankind has never seen you before. You use all of creation to reveal yourself, and even all of creation does not do justice to all that you are. So I ask you. Come visit us. Let us see first hand and in as much of the reality of your world as we can contain – who you are, let us come to know what you are like, and wonder at the beauty and majesty of your person. Lead us as a people who truly walk with their God. People marveled and likely were envious of Jesus, by the time he was 12 years of age. Dad, is it too much to ask for a generation of children to know you like Jesus did then, even the vast majority of this generation of children?. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for. In fact I see you wanting this very thing.

Thank you Lord for our kids! I pray for a special blessing on them as they start back to school, that you would help them to learn like never before and to have the ability to make a strong stand for you among their friends. I pray that our kids will truly be planted in the house of the Lord and grow in Jesus like never before! We pray for the kids in Haiti that our team will be ministering to this month. Move in a mighty way in their young lives!

Thank you Lord for such Godly parents at Impact. Thank you for imparting wisdom to them and strength day by day. Especially strengthen single parents and become so real to them and their children as you become their very source of LIFE. For all our children, regardless of their age, bless them, become even more real to them, and may they be used day by day to impart LIFE in their world. Impress deeply within each parent and child your transforming LIFE that keeps, changes, protects and produces even more LIFE. May every children’s worker at our church become such a source of LIFE to each and every child. Throughout this City heal the hearts of every child. Transform homes. May your Holy Spirt hover and brood and produce your LIFE over every home. End abuse. End bullying. End addiction. We declare LIFE over every home, and every heart in these homes, NOW in Jesus name.

Father God, We lift you up as our day starts to give you Glory, Honour, and Praise. We lift all of the children up to you for peace, protection, and direction as they return to school after the holidays. Give them the desire to listen to their teachers, to learn, and have fun.

We cast our thoughts and prayers towards the children of Haiti and our Impact Haiti Team for health and safety.and a deep revelation of God in their lives. We are all God’s Precious Little Ones- HIS Children, and when we come to him as such, we show Faith in Him which releases Him to care for us John 3;1.Behold, what manner of Love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Son’s of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

We pray, thy word is a lamp unto their feet, and a light unto their path. from Psalm 119:105

“Wake up. Put your face in the sunlight. God’s bright glory has risen for you. The whole earth is wrapped in darkness, all people sunk in deep darkness, But God rises on you, his sunrise glory breaks over you. Nations will come to your light, kings to your sunburst brightness. Look up! Look around! Watch as they gather, watch as they approach you: Your sons coming from great distances, your daughters carried by their nannies. When you see them coming you’ll smile—big smiles! Your heart will swell and, yes, burst!” (Isaiah 60:1)

Father, your word reveals that, even though darkness is increasing on the earth, Your Glory will rest upon those who belong to you. Thank you, Father, that your glory rests upon us and your light has come! Thank you that in this new season of light you have promised healing, provision, protection and favour over your people. Thank you for the blessing of our children who bring huge smiles to our faces and our hearts to swell with love. Father, we pray for your armour of light to surround and protect their hearts and minds from all assaults of the enemy. Deliver them from evil and darkness in all its forms, and keep us watchful and prayerful in the days ahead as your light continues to envelop our families, our churches, our schools and our communities to change the spiritual atmosphere. Let Your Kingdom come and Your Glory rain down over your beloved children! Thank you, Father, for Jesus-the Light of the world.

Father God children are such a blessing, and we know so many children don’t have opportunity’s to excel in this world the way they should, but you never over look a child. You said in your word you even know the number hairs on our head, you are so personable, so loving and such a caring Father God. Today we are all agreeing that each child will go out into this world with your blessing on them, a hand of protection, and they will be guided in life to come into a knowing of who you truly are, a good and loving God! We thank you for the mission trips, the up and coming kids camp, and all the children growing up in our church at Impact! We thank you that they are being prepared for the next generation to change this world. We also pray for the parents to see this as a great privilege to impart to them, and train them up, so they may fight the good fight of faith. We are so excited for this coming year and what we are going to see, signs and wonders, and many souls coming to know you ! Amen!

Father we give thanks for your wisdom to set us in families and in the expanding story of generations linked together to demonstrate your goodness. All children are gifts to be treasured, nurtured and encouraged to manifest unique aspects of personal destiny that reflect the love and creativity of their Creator. We stand in agreement to bless and declare favour over all our children near and far that they might live in constant awareness of your Presence and quickly come to a personal understanding of your Love through Jesus. Let us also be aware the children show us how to be genuine, unguarded and unpretentious with you. Let us be aware that even the young have the opportunity to be filled, led and empowered by the same Holy Spirit as the old. May we always be quick to recognize grace and gifting in the children around us and be open to hearing from you through them.
