Day 2 of 10 Days Of Prayer, Jan 2022

DAY 2 OF 10 DAYS OF PRAYER 2022
“Eyes To See.”
By: D Karl Thomas

Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG)
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Proverbs 29:18 (MSG)
If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed.

Joshua 6:2
And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.”

Abraham was in a bad mood. Things were not going as he had hoped. Where is the fulfillment of the promise God has made to me? God called him out of his narrow experience and invited him to look at the stars. God’s promise is way bigger than what you see right now. Start looking through the eyes of faith. Engage your imagination!!! What’s even more amazing is this was during a sunny day.

Genesis 15: 5-6
Then he took him outside and said, “Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You’re going to have a big family, Abram!” And he believed! Believed God! God declared him “Set-Right-with-God.”

SUN WAS OUT vs 12. Now when the sun was going down…”

God knows what he is doing. He has your best interest at heart. His promise isYES!!! Can I get an AMEN!!!

Jesus had to reshape the mindset of His disciples. Before he called them to follow Him he made sure they were prepared to see from a faith perspective. He persuaded them to expect to walk in a life of supernatural increase.

Luke 5:1-11 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. 4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they [a]forsook all and followed Him.

Jesus was looking for people who He could share His purpose with. He was developing and invasion force. Jesus taught and transformed their mindsets through teaching and through miracles.

He wanted to move them from empty nets to boat sinking increase. “From now on you will catch men!!!”

8 Observations From The Text
1. Expectation vs. 2 “…washing their nets…” 3 Fold Prep: Wash Mend Stretch

2. Participation vs. 3 “…push away a little…” First let me be captain of a little.
“God never works anything independently of you that concerns your life”  David Yonggi Cho

3. Impartation Mark 4:1-3 “…so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea. Then He taught them many things by … “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.”

4. Forget The Past vs. 5 “…caught nothing…” Don’t project your past. Forget it.
I will not create a theology that makes my lack of manifestation okay.
I will use any sense of loss to propel me into future gain.

5. Spirit Of Faith vs. 5 “…toiled exhaustingly…” Faith begins where ability ends.
Colossians 1:29 “For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the [superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.”

6. Alignment vs. 4-5 “…on the ground of your word…” (Rhema) Even if unconventional.
Living in the supernatural means that you are often operating in a way that violates natural laws.

7. Experience vs. 6-7 “net was breaking … filled both the boats … they began to sink…”
Daily unexplainable living. God is always more than enough!

8. Dependance vs. 11“…forsook all, followed Him.” He is the source of my life.
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” Maturity is dependance.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES:

God knows what He is doing. I can see what He is doing. I am partnering with God today to bring about the supernatural advance of His Kingdom.

We pray for all things that would distract your people to cease. We declare that we are Born Again and we can see the Kingdom. (John 3:3) As He is so are we in this world. Jesus did only what He saw the father doing. I do only what I see the Father doing.

We see that our Jericho is taken. We see obstacles removed. We have that same spirit of faith and we declare the things that are not as though they were. Hebrews 11:30 “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down …” With the God kind of faith we speak to 2022 and command it to be a year of goodness and abundance. We declare a year of supernatural breakthrough. A year of recovery and restoration. A year of unprecedented increase and prosperity. Ha Ha Ha!!!!!

God knows what He’s doing. He has given me the ability the see and hear what He is doing. I’m going to partner with Him like never before to bring His Heavenly intentions to earth. “On earth as it is in heaven!” Baptize the church in a Spirit of Faith. We will speak to those things that are not. We will call your word into manifestation. All Your promises are YES in Christ Jesus, and to that I say AMEN!!!

Praying with you all. I live near the plaza that holds the site of our future church home. I often park outside the building and just let my eyes (natural and spiritual) sweep over the building beyond the dusty windows and door; the seagull “kisses”.etc. . I pray sometimes quietly and sometimes in a declaration that God is in control and He is working it all out. I see a beautiful place full of the Holy Spirit and a spot where the praises to God ring out. The nearby access to the highway to other places in Ontario brings those that are inquisitive and those seeking Jesus. The whole community of people are blessed…and even the businesses in the plaza excel together
