10 Days of Prayer 2019 – Day# 2

10 Days of Prayer 2019 – Day# 2, The Spirit and the Word
By: D. Karl Thomas

 1 Samuel 3:19, 21
“Samuel grew; the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground …  And the Lord continued to appear in Shiloh, for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh through the word of the Lord.”

That is the way it should be today. None of our words fall to the ground. God watches over what we say to perform it. Reinhard Bonnke says, “God’s word in your mouth is the same as God’s word in His mouth.” Wowzers!!!

When we get His presence and His word working together in our live we are going to see amazing results.

“When the word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest movement that the nation and indeed the world has ever seen. It will mark the beginning of a revival that will eclipse even the Wesleyan and the Welsh revival.
Smith Wigglesworth

This is my favourite scripture on prayer. Look at it below. So good!!!

John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

The Word was a big deal in the early church … Book of Acts.
“But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”Acts 6:4
“But the Word of the Lord continued to grow and spread.” Acts 12:24
“…the entire city gathered together to hear the Word of God.” Acts 13:44
“ Word of the Lord…spread throughout the whole region.” Acts 13:49
“…the Word of the Lord grew and spread and intensified, prevailing mightily. ”Acts 19:20

Three important disciplines for working with God’s word:

Joshua 1:8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditateon it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

1. Meditation
Hebrew word “hagah”:– to ponder, mutter, regurgitate
You say you don’t know how to meditate:
“If you have ever worried you have practiced meditation.” Bill Johnson

2. Revelation
Ephesians 1:17-18 “…the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your [a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,…”

Paul’s prayer inspired by the Holy Spirit gets it’s yes and amen in Christ. Revelation and enlightenment is yours!!!
Greek word “apaukaloupis”:– a disclosure
Greek word “photidzo”:– an enlightenment
The lights go on. The truth become clear. The seed brings forth fruit.

3. Activation
Romans 4:17 (Message) “Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing.”
That’s awesome. With a word you can make something out of nothing. The word is a big deal and your word is a big deal. You word is should be aligned with God’s word and then you get Divine results!

PRAYER DIRECTIVES:

Always pray for those in authority.

Pray for Spirit of God to baptize us as church with a passion for His word. We are going to read the whole bible together this year. Life will be transformed because the WORD is powerful!

Declare that this will be a year of great victory for you. Advances in every area of your life. Souls saved. Lives touched. Promotions. Greater demonstrations of healing. Restoration and recovery. Debts cancelled.

Pray for the harvest. Ask God to flood your heart with compassion for those who don’t know him. Ask God to give you Divine appointments. Ask Him to place people on your heart to pray for and believe for this year.

Make sure you leave us a comment. Pray for more people to leave a comment. Call someone and tell them to leave a comment. “Spur one another on to good works.”

Listen to His voice. He is speaking to you. Confess out loud those things He lays on your heart.

Praise God! I have been claiming that my words don’t fall to the ground for a while now! And when I pray for leaders I also ask that the Lord reveal himself to spiritual leaders as well, including the Dalai Lama, and even corrupt leaders like Kim Jong In. Jesus died for them too!

Praying for blessings and prosperity for all Impact Church members. Lord pour out wisdom on each one.

Psalm 1:1-3 KJV Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Lord we pray that as this is the year of the Word, that it will also be a year of harvest! We declare a great harvest for Impact Church and the city of London in 2019 like we have never seen before. We choose to partner with you to bring in the harvest of souls, to love people like Jesus, and to be aware of where you are moving and follow your lead.

Love, love, love this passage. Father, like Abraham, we call our “nothings” into existence as we pull them down from the Heavenly realm where ALL things are possible.

“When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do.” —‭‭Romans‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I feel that the Lord is saying that this year there will be a definite increase in our fervancy to serve God in all levels; personal, and corporate. This will lead us to accelerate in all areas of our spiritual life and even in the natural. Of course, our ultimate goal is to draw closer to the heart of God. So I pray for fervancy, acceleration and drawing closer to God’s heart.

Wow, Father, thank you for uniting such a powerful family of believers at Impact – let each word and prayer be multiplied for your glory as we join together in faith today and throughout the year. Thank you that your Word is power and we are strengthened as we meditate on it. May you write your Truth on the hearts of all those in authority, Lord God, as well as all those struggling in any area of their lives, and also those who think they’ve got it all together. I partner with my brothers and sisters declaring freedom for the captives at Western, in the city of London, in SWO. Cultivate good soil in their hearts so that when the word comes it will be planted and take deep root to yield good fruit… bring forth the harvest, and increase the labourers… Holy Spirit, bring to life the mysteries and power of the Word as we study and pray together, and help us carve out time specifically devoted to you. For from you, and through you, and to you are all things… for your glory, amen.

Ditto to everything everyone said. God is good all the time, He is so good. His Word doesn’t return void and He hears all our prayers which are all according to His will and His Word. He WILL cause them to come to be–to come to fruition. In Jesus’ Name. Thank You Abba, Almighty God and Creator. Thank You Jesus, the Word, who became flesh and Your Blood that is the power and Your resurrection that is the promise. Thank You Holy Spirit for indwelling us and being the Authority of The Word giving our words that authority and power. Amen and Hallelujah!

Lord, thank you for those in authority! Bless them with pearls of wisdom that fall like rain upon their heads. Those people in our city, province, country and beyond can be touched by your love and direction. Open their eyes and their ears and their hearts. I declare that this will be a year where those things that seemed small before will become mighty and strong. Just imagine the effect of the Impact Church family together reading and learning from your Word and praying together. It will definitely have an effect on our spheres of influence. By the way, I really liked it when Pastor Cheryl spoke about the Lord surrounding her this year. I have been “meditating” on that one thought a lot these last few days. Be blessed today!
