Day 6 of 10 Days Of Prayer, Jan 2022

Day 6 of 10 Days Of Prayer, Jan 2022

Entering His Rest
By: Zach Sloane

Hebrews 4:7-11
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

God is speaking today. We are praying and he is talking back. What is his voice saying? Don’t harden your heart, don’t run away from the sound, from the vision.

He is speaking words of conquering and conquest, words of crossing over and possessing. Words of dreams, vision, and and possessing the promises. Big dreams, big hopes, big ideals. I hope your heart is flooded with visions for overwhelming success and unprecedented fruitfulness this year in every area of your lives.

But hear this: Joshua, Israel’s great commander and conquer, he who led the Israelites into their promised land was unable to bring them into true success, REST.

God has incredible vision, plans, even works for us to partner with him in accomplishing in 2022. But the quality of his words, his vision, the fruit of his leading is not like Joshua’s, he gives us rest.

It’s a bit of a mystery, a paradox, but I’ve learned to be ok with it; the more I enjoy his rest, the more productive I am. Don’t let words of dreams and visions, plans and excitement provoke you to work harder for Jesus. Don’t harden your heart, open your heart to the productivity and success that comes when we embrace rest from our works, just as he did from his. Let’s make every effort to enter his rest.

Pray:
*For ears that hear, eyes that see, and hearts that attend to the revelation he gives.
*Unprecedented fruitfulness, success, and harvest.
*The rest of God to permeate our lives.
*Faith and patience to rise up within and produce results we haven’t seen!

Father we pray that the rest of God would fill our hearts by faith. That by faith and faith alone we would see dreams, visions, and fruitfulness like never before, your power and glory expressed in resting from our own works, and making every effort to enter your rest!

Make every effort to rest! Seems like such a contradiction. But it’s the way we embrace genuine victory. We don’t achieve victory we simply receive it. Jesus isn’t leading us into battle He us inviting us to a party. Triumph is the celebration of the total defeat of our enemies. So shout to God with a voice of triumph!!! Thank you Jesus for rest. Booyah!!!

Leaning on His everlasting arms — resting, resting today. I sense it is like we are floating on a Bahama Island calm sea…….. safe and secure from all alarms ….ready to receive from Him.
