Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer

Day 2 of 10 Days of Prayer
By: Pastor Karl Thomas

How To Pray For A Miracle

Read: Acts 12:1-19, 23

The early church was growing and expanding. Powerful demonstrations of God were in abundance. The enemy wants to put an end to things before they get started.

We need to pray for miracles. Sometimes you need a miracle.

Attack on your body … attack on family or friend … tragic accident … caught in a dangerous spot … too late to take a course  … “I need results now.

They needed results right away in Acts 12. Peter was about to be killed!

What did they do?

5 Observations From This Text
1. Stuff Happens To Good People
vs. 2, 3 “he killed James…arrested Peter…”
None of us are immune from  trials in this life.

2. We Are Not Helpless
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Psalm 91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

We have a recourse in a time of trial. God is always available and ready to act.

3. We Have Responsibilities
vs. 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

1 Courageous – but
2 United — the church
3 Passionate — earnestly
4 Persistent — continued
5 Directive — for him

Take responsibility in whatever circumstance to God’s reign and rule into manifestation.
“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done!”

3. We Have A Rescuer
Psalm 18 “I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice …Then the earth shook and trembled;…”

God moves swiftly and violently against our spiritual enemies whenever we call on His name.

5. Our Enemies Will Be Destroyed
vs. 23 “…angel of the Lord smote him…”

How would we pray if we really believed that He is the God who hears and answers prayer.
HE IS!!!!!

Be bold now! Pray for miracles in your life and in your world. Where ever there is a limitation to the manifestation of His kingdom in your life command it to go. Demand that your standard of life is “As it is in heaven.”

Speak to impossible situations and command the supernatural realm of God to be expressed … In Jesus Name!!!

Many Christians who have been faithful and have sown into the Kingdom for many many years, find themselves discouraged at the passing of time with little manifestation……but…..those years have not been wasted. We are now in a time of supernatural manifestations the likes of which we have never seen before. God is raising up and promoting His children at Impact Church, London and all around the world. Unsaved people will take notice of us because of the dramatic change in our lives seemingly overnight. People will ask us, how did this happen? We won’t be able to take the credit, it’s our God!!

Pastor Karl said last Sunday that we won’t recognize ourselves in the next 4 months, that’s how quickly God is moving. The cool thing is that we all get to be a part of that, we should all be very excited to see how it all unfolds, be expecting every moment. All the waiting will be a distant memory because we’ll be full on living in, not just hearing about but living in the massive manifestation of what God’s doing Now!

Lord we do cry out for manifestation of those things we have put before you for so long now. We cry out for manifestation of healing in our bodies, household salvation, family restoration, financial blessings, increase beyond expectation in all areas of our lives. We ask that the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead, which lives within us, would remove hindrances, bring revelation, and truth wherever needed. We give you full permission to do what is needed. We call in the supernatural power of the living God to touch every life and home in this city. We release a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge of you. Show yourself strong, mighty, loving and kind to all…..

Thank you Lord that you are ever our refuge in times of trouble. Thank you Lord that we can depend upon you. Thank you Lord even more that you have given us the opportunity to take part, take hold, speak forth and declare that in any situation declare that in our situation it must be as it is in heaven! I have a history with the Holy Spirit of God who has listened to my prayers in times of trial … when I had a mortgage that went up to 18 -1/2 % in 1981 it seemed like I would lose my house, but I cried unto you Lord and you rescued the situation. So many other times since then. I have learned I can speak to the situation myself now, boldly because you are listening. and you care. In Jesus name, I declare that I take responsibility in whatever circumstance to God’s reign and rule into manifestation.
“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done!”will take responsibility

That’s the part that stood out to me too! Would my prayers change – keeping in mind that He listens and answers?! Psalm 116:1-2 (NLT) “I love the Lord because he hears and answers my prayers, Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath!” I really want to see a miracle in my neighbourhood, and I’m going to believe that neighbour by neighbour it will happen!

We place our hope, our faith, our trust fully in You, Lord, as the One who is faithful and true, who is able and willing to release every good thing into the lives of those who love and depend on You. You are SO good, and Your mercies are new every morning. We declare news dimensions in our faith walk with You. Open up our spirits to the new things You have desired for us. Help us to be bold in our declarations that open up the door of invitation and opportunity for You to move.

Yes, Father, we speak to “impossible situations” and we proclaim that You are the God of the impossible!

Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. (Romans 4:17 MSG)
