Series: “Kingdom” Sermon #11 “Kingdom Citizenship”

The Bible is about a King, a Kingdom, and a royal family of children. 

A message about the desire of a King to extend His Kingdom  through His royal family. 

Isaiah 9:7 “Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

Ephesians 1:3 “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.”

Matthew 16:19 (TPT)   “I will give you the keys of heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in heaven.”   

Operates through firsthand revelation!

Luke 16:16  TPT “The law of Moses and the revelation of the prophets have prepared you for the arrival of the kingdom realm announced by John. And now, when this wonderful news of God’s kingdom realm is preached, people’s hearts burn with extreme passion to press in and receive it.”

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12  “And you know how affectionately we treated each one of you, like a loving father cares for his own children. We comforted and encouraged you and challenged you to adopt a lifestyle worthy of God, who invites you into his kingdom and glory.”

Apostle Paul develops on theme of CITIZENSHIP!!!

Philippians 3:20 (AMP) “But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven.”

(TPT)  “But we are a colony of heaven on earth…”    From another realm colonizing earth!!!

(Message) “But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven!”  HEAVENLY BENEFITS 

Ephesians 2:19   “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,”     The Royal Family

Colossians 1:12-13  “…giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,…”

Paul Knew His Rights Acts 16:37 “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.’”

I’m not going quietly … you illegally beat a citizen … I have rights I can put a demand on … you touched one of the Kings called out ones … I have unique privileges!!!  

Acts 22:25-29 “Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman … And Paul said, “But I was born a citizen.” 29 Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

Citizen:– a native or naturalized individual who owes allegiance to a government (as of a state or nation) and is entitled to the enjoyment of governmental protection and to the exercise of civil rights.

Citizenship is power-sharing.  The conferring of a nation on an individual.  Walk in with nothing and you leave with everything. A citizen shares the power of the government, and essentially becomes one with the government.

Becoming a citizen of the Kingdom of God means: • You become powerful. • You gain a source of personal authority. • You can call constitutional privileges and promises. • You have access to the full protection and advantage of the law

Hebrews 1:14  (The Message) “Isn’t it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?”  

Every Kingdom has an army … God’s Kingdom has a military of powerful spiritual beings

Psalm 89:8 (TPT) “So awesome are you, O Yahweh, Lord God of Angel Armies!  (Lord Of Hosts 290) Where could we find anyone as glorious as you? Your faithfulness shines all around you!”

Matthew 18:10 “Be careful that you not corrupt one of these little ones. For I can assure you that in heaven each of their angelic guardians have instant access to my heavenly Father.”

Acts 12:15  “But they said to her, ‘You are beside yourself!’ Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, ‘It is his angel.'”

Matthew 26:53 “Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?”  (72,000)

John 1:51 “And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”  Privilege of mankind!!!

Psalm 103:20-21 “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.”

USING THE KEYS … Ephesisans 1:3  “blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,”  pneumatikos:—  divinely inspired supernatural     eulogia:— to speak well … blessed speech

2 Kings 19:35  “And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand;” 

One angel took out 185000 warriors.

2 Kings 6:16-17 “… those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ Elisha prayed, ‘Then the Lord opened the servants eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses & chariots of fire all around Elisha.’”
