Ephesians 5:18 {MSG}
“Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him.”
Drink (pino):—to drink figuratively, to receive what serves to refresh, strengthen, nourish

“…Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you.” {NLT}
“…but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.” {AMP}
A present, passive, continuous, Imperative.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (AMP) “For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body, [spiritually transformed—united together] whether Jews or Greeks (Gentiles), slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit [since the same Holy Spirit fills each life].”

John 20:30-31 “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”

John 2:1-11 “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. …”
Week long party engaging whole community. Big Deal!!

Acts 1:14 “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus,…”
Prophetic picture of the outpouring of Holy Spirit.

… Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.  And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
The Party Is Over!!!

Isaiah 27:7-8, 11 “The new wine fails, the vine languishes, All the merry-hearted sigh. The mirth of the tambourine ceases, The noise of the jubilant ends, The joy of the harp ceases … …There is a cry for wine in the streets, All joy is darkened, The mirth of the land is gone.”

Who are they?
World — Clubs — Causes — Politics — Religion — Philosophy
They have no wine!!!

Who are they?
Family — Friends — Neighbours — Marketplace — Highways —Byways
They have no wine!!!

I’m not going get distracted by their empty pursuits!!!
They are going to come to us … because they have no wine!!!

Song of Songs 2:4 (NKJV) “He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love.”
(YLT) “He hath brought me in unto a house of wine, And his banner over me is love,”

You have an unlimited source of new wine.
THEY may run out put you have a supply.
You can serve up the wine that will refresh, strengthen and nourish.

Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’

John 17:1 “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,…”
Acts 2: 15-17 “For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will
pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;”

Joel 2:23-24 “And He will cause the rain to come down for you—The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.”

Amos 9:13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.”

Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, ‘Fill the waterpots with water.’ And they filled them up to the brim.

Prophetic pictures Jesus as the Bridegroom providing New Wine.
Abolishing the old system that could not satisfy.

The outward ritual of ceremonial cleansing is abolished.
Inward imbibing replaces the outer powerless exercise.

And He said to them, ‘Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.’ And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!’

This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”

Matthew 9:17 “But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
God is doing a new thing.
New Creation! YOU!
