Health Hacks, Day 6 of 21 Days

Health Hacks, Day 6 of 21 Days
By: Geoff Powell

The first thing I think about with miracles and healing come to mind is the fact Our Father in Heaven has always declared healing for His people.  In Psalms 107:20, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” In the Greek, the words sozo and soteria that are translated as salvation mean exactly what we find in that Psalm.  From the Strong’s Concordance soteria (G4991) is defined as “rescue or safety (physically or morally): — deliver, health, salvation, save, saving” and sozo is defined as “to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): — heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.” Healing is all part of our salvation in Christ.

When we think of Jesus’ word going forth to heal we think of the Centurion from Matthew 8:5-13.  The Centurion recognized the authority that Jesus walked in and the results that manifested as a result of His authority.  When he sought to have his servant healed and he came to Jesus he stated that all Jesus had to do was speak and the word that He spoke would heal His servant.  Jesus marvelled at his faith and the servant was healed at the moment Jesus spoke.

We read that, and we think, “Well that was Jesus, of course Him speaking the word would heal the centurion’s servant.” But the fact is, if we are a born-again believer, He has given us authority to, operate in His name and send forth His word to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.

So, when we are in Christ we are saved, made whole, preserved, healed, delivered etc.  Further to that, when we are saved we have become children of God living out of the Kingdom of God for we are translated into the Kingdom of His Dear Son (Col 1:13) and in the Kingdom we have authority and we can do the works that He did.  When Jesus sent out the twelve disciples in Matthew 10, He said to them in verse 1 that He was giving them power (authority) over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.  All kinds doesn’t mean a lot of different kinds of sickness and disease, it means all sickness and disease.  He then sent them out to share the good news, he said in verses 7&8 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

He repeated that in what is called “The Great Commission” in Mark 16. “He that believe and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believe not shall be damned…..They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”  Mark 16:16, 18 KJV

They shall recover! Not might recover, not if it could be or might be God’s will, not you never know what God’s going to do… it says, and it means, they SHALL recover.  It also means we can do the same thing Jesus did, that our words have power when we speak in His authority declaring the healing that He bought and paid for us. Sickness and disease have no right to reside in our body and we have the right to speak to sickness and disease and command them to leave our body and those to come to us so we can pray the prayer of faith.

First you have to believe it, then you have to receive it, then when you declare it, you shall have it. In Jesus Name, Be Healed!

Good reminder that part of the “glory I have given them” that Jesus refered to in his exit prayer to the Father was the authority you refer to. Thanks for this.
