Day #9 – 10 Days Of Prayer

Day #9 Of 10 Days Of Prayer – The Light Of Life
Welcome to the 9th day of our prayer time. Thanks for joining us.

Do you have goals this year? Has the Lord put a vision of a preferred future in your heart?
The Wise Men in the Christmas story showed up after Jesus was born. The were drawn to Him by a supernatural sign. They realized their goal. We can draw some principles froths story to apply to our lives as we pursue God’s purpose for our lives this year.

Matthew 2:1-12 “…they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures … they returned to their country by another way.”

“Many are alive but few are conscious.”
Conscious:– alert and awake; not sleeping or comatose aware of one’s surroundings, one’s own thoughts and motivations, etc…

When God came to earth 2000 years ago most people, even those close by, were unaware of His arrival. Many today have still missed the point. Jesus came at the right time to change our whole world.
The Wise Men recognized that an event of global significance was taking place.
Through specific and accountable actions they realized their goal.

7 Actions For Wise Transitions.
1. Pay Attention
“…we have seen His star…” vs. 2 God speaks your language!
The Wise Men recognized that an event of global significance was taking place.
Not going to be distracted by noisy negatives.

Charles Swindoll says, “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important: than facts, than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do, than appearances, than giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company. . . a church. . . a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. . . We are in charge of our attitudes.”

Two types of consciousness.

1. Automatic – Reacting — Same thing over and over.

2. Accountable – Responding — A working awareness …adjusting.

NASA to the space shuttle entering the atmosphere. Transitioning to another atmosphere demands the right attitude.

Philippians 2:5-7 NLT “You must have the same attitude (Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, NKJV) that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave.”
1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins …(Osphus:—the place where the Hebrews thought the generative power (semen) resided. Your mind is your procreative tool. Your world is shaped in your thinking. Think right) …of your mind,…” A prepared attitude – ready mind!

2. Consumed With A Purpose
“… come to worship Him.” vs. 2
“                                                                                                                           Empires of the future are empires of the mind.”        Winston Churchill

Philippians 3:12 “… but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”
Apostle Paul    Acts 26:19 “So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.”
3. Willing To Exert Themselves

“…at its rising and have come…” vs. 2 (AMP)

Hebrews 11:6 “…rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Romans 12:11 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”

4. Not Going To Give Up

“…they went their way…” vs. 9                                                                                                                             Herod didn’t spook them. They pressed on.
Galatians 6:7-9 “God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows … at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

5. Willing To Get Happy

“When they saw the star, they were thrilled with ecstatic joy.” vs. 10

Pursuing God is a joy filled trip.
Be responsible for how you feel … rule your emotions.

Caroline Leaf “The Gift In You” 143
“…an attitude is a cluster of thoughts with an emotional flavour, and every type of emotion has one of two roots — love or fear. Love and fear are the root emotions, and all other emotions grow from these. … these two cannot coexist, that at any one moment we will be operating in one or the other.” Page 146 “Love literally wipes out fear.”
6. Willing To Worship                                                                                                                                    “…fell down and worshiped Him. Then opening their treasure bags,…” (11)                                                 God wants worshippers who worship.
7. Willing To Change
“…departed to their own country by a different way.” vs. 12
You can’t go back the same way when you have had a genuine encounter with Jesus.

Yay God! It is so awesome Jesus that You are the light of the world – we take hold of the promise that whoever follows You will NOT walk in darkness but will have (possess) the light of life. Thank-you for the light of life! Thank-you for revelation of God things today – thank-you that we walk not after the flesh and its petty desire but instead we walk by the Spirit and are filled with JOY.

We pray for clear vision this year for the people of God. We decide, we choose, we agree, we pull the trigger on setting some goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, results-focused, and time- bound. We want to be clear and decisive this year in getting things DONE. We are doers of the word, and not hearers only…..God forbid us deceiving ourselves….we want to move forward mightily in the things of God.

We agree that Your light God will shine into our lives and burn out any darkness – that all areas of our lives would be illuminated with the life of Christ. Let God arise and the enemies be scattered – all fog and confusion goes in Jesus name!

We desire a genuine move of God, I think it’s time Lord, our youth and young adults need to see Your awesome miracle working power, I want more… I am hungry Lord for Your river to flow in London – as PK says “come and throw Your weight around” come Holy Spirit – we love Your awesome presence and the workings of Your Spirit.

We pray for many to come to church tomorrow to hear the Gospel … UBER … We loose forth an “UBER SUNDAY” we pray for revelation and a close manifestation of His Spirit to be expressed as we worship and all that we do to celebrate Your word.

We lift up Margaret Marsh, may her body heal quickly without complications in Jesus Name. Thank-you for a healthy, wealthy abundant church!

We are praying that by revelation of the cross of Christ we can all see the once and for all putting away of our ‘old man,’ the end of living life by the power and insight of our natural and unregenerate minds, and an end to the subsequent confusion of strife and mixture. That we will find in the resurrection life of Jesus, His life within us that is altogether different than the life and light on display in the best of what the world and religious man has to offer, all the resource we need. May we find in Christ and through the pressing in of His life within, the fulfillment of every word, breakthrough in 2016, and traction toward the fulfilment of His good intentions. His resurrection life and power in us will bring this to pass. May we embrace His cross and release His resurrection life, as it is alone the source of Light and the power for breakthrough. May our hope for glory truly be, by deep and satisfying personal revelation, Christ in us, the life of the heavenly Man shining through us on earth as He is and lives in heaven. Amen!

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 19:105. I thank you Lord because I truly believe this word. This is the motto that Terry and I spoke out so many times when we were teaching Pioneer Boys back in the day. Boy, has it sunk in through repetition and just pondering on what that means. Today I believe when we ask for a clear direction and purpose for God’s people each year, I actually see in my spiritual eye that lamp lighting our Impact family’s feet in those things that ae happening today in our lives and that shining light that proceeds us and brings light and life into every area of our life, collectively..
Lord we cast away all confusion and fogginess that wants to keep your people from being aware very awaret that we need to be very present, very watchful, always listening to the still small voice whispering in our ear. Lord, clean the carrots out of our ears so to speak. We reach out as those who know that the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit , and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) We believe that there is a mighty move of God pressing in and we do pray for the revelation and close manifestation of His Spirit as we come together to worship Him.

Lord, we do pray for Margaret Marsh for complete healing and restoration in her body. Let her sense you Lord evem now in her hospital room. Peace, rest, joy and a keen sense of your working in every aspect of her life and that of her daughter Dana.

I declare that your word that goes forth out of your mouith shall not return unto you void, but it shall accomplish that which you please, and it shall prosper in the thing whee you sent it in Impact Church, our leaders and all of our families, the children, the volunteers, and those who would walk into Impact Church for the first time tomorrow.

Father of light, thank you for working in and through all of us to accomplish your purposes.
Let us continue to shine as the Lights of the World for your glory in this City of God!
    Philippians 2: 13
For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.
It is your good pleasure and our honour, Father, thank you for all you are about to do .

“Life came into being because of Him, for His life is light for all humanity.
And this ‘Living Expression’ is the Light that bursts through gloom–
The Light that darkness could not diminish!” (John 1:4-5 TPT)

Lord, we celebrate that your Light has come and flooded our hearts and lives with your Living Expression–the Light and Life of the entire world. Jesus, we declare with all of Heaven that your light bursts through every circumstance to dispel every semblance of gloom, fog and darkness. Father, as your sons and daughters, you have filled us with your Light and Life–so let us shine!

Thank you Father that in Your light we see light. Thank you for the illumination of Your Word as your people spend time with You this year. Let a hunger for YOU grow in the lives of your people and may they encounter the more of You and the more of heaven this year. Let this be a year of encounters with Your Presence and Your goodness. Let every veil be removed from your people’s eyes so that they can see the glorious hope of which You have called them. May our eyes be flooded with light and may we walk in a spirit of wisdom and revelation. May we become the best of who You created us to be. May the old be gone and the new arise as we walk with You in this season. Thank you for lighting our path and that you actually reveal to us the great things You have for us (Job 29:5,6 When the Almighty was yet with me and my children were about me, When my steps were washed with butter and the rock poured out for me streams of oil!) Let this verse be a reality in our lives!

Thank you for your abundant grace, Father. I lift up Margaret right now and ask for a miraculous recovery that brings glory and honor to Jesus. Please pray for me and my family.
Shine, Jesus, shine ever brighter in us-like when the dawn breaks through our window, so shall it be, to awaken us from slumber to be with You in your glorious light. Enjoy the day!

Wow – that’s really good. I really like what Zach said in the video about the laser. I am praying for all fog and confusion to go and clear direction for all. Psalm 78 talks about God caring for His people with a true heart and leading them with skillful hands. I am declaring that for today!
