Day 5 Of 10 Days Of Prayer Sept 2022

DAY 5 OF 10 DAYS OF PRAYER  SEP 2022
By: D Karl Thomas

This was the Christmas greeting from HM Queen Elizabeth II December 25, 2021.

We mourn the loss of a genuine states person. She had always been my Queen. My Dad and Mom immigrated from the UK as children and we always followed the Royals.

Now we enter into a new era.
Isaiah 6:1, 8-9
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. … Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He said, “Go, and tell this people:”
Isaiah was so saddened by the death of His King. Yet at that time he was caught up in a vision to see the King of Glory in all of His Majesty.
This is a good time for us to see the Lord in all of His glory. A time to be captivated by His voice. A time to respond to the mission of heaven.
Here am I … send me! Let’s go and tell the people about the Good News of the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The hope and fears of all the years are me in His incarnation. God has come in the flesh and has reconciled man to himself in Christ Jesus.
Let the the people of God be captivated by the Glory of God.
Let’s command a season of great harvest to erupt.
Let’s call into manifestation great signs of His presence among us.
Come everyone! Taste and see the Lord is good!

Father help us to see, to realize the time, to engage your mission. We pray for open doors to share Jesus in power. Thank you for Jesus whose death is the end of my fears and whose life is my hope!

Praise God that all our hopes and fears are met in Jesus. When we introduce our hopes and our fears to Jesus, our hopes are fulfilled and our fears must dissipate. Embolden us, Lord, Your people, to share our Jesus with this hurting world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Amen Laurie. I loved that line too “all our hopes and fears are met in Jesus.” Believing for special opportunities to share the love of God in this season.

Our Buckingham family name and my great great grandparents hailed from Great Britain. We grew up respecting Queen Elizabeth and her selfless devotion to her role as Queen and Defender of the Faith. I heard the queen made a statement to a clergyman that she hoped that Jesus would return in her lifetime. When he asked her why, she responded that she would so much wish to lay her crown at His feet. This morning as I woke up and thought of the King of all Kings, an old chorus came to mind that we used to sing. “Come on and worship the King, come on and praise His name. Come on and lift up holy hands. Come on and worship the King.” |It might be an old song, but it is so appropriate as we honour Him today. Thank you
Father God ….the hopes and fears ARE met in your son Jesus..
