Day 3 Of 10 Days Of Prayer Sept 2022

DAY 3 OF 10 DAYS OF PRAYER  SEP 2022
By: Zach Sloane

Colossians 4:2 (NKJV)
“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving…”

Proseuché
Strong’s #4335- has within its root etymology the idea of an exchange of wishes.

Prayer is transformational because it’s a place where God share his wishes and burdens with us, and we share ours with him. We can let go of our burdens and cares, and cast them before the Lord, knowing he will take them up.

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV)
“…casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

But is also an exchange, a place where we can seek first the kingdom and his righteousness, exchanging our legitimate cares for what he is passionate about.

In prayer, the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts and puts in our minds the cares and concerns of God’s heart and they begin to shape us and become our passions.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12 (NKJV)
“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

Prayer Directives:

-Pray and release to God that single biggest care or concern you carry around. Do so believing that he cares for you.
-Pray and ask God to share his mind and heart with you. Let God share with you what is on his heart and speak it out loud.
-Find a scripture verse that speaks to you about God’s will for you, your family, neighbourhood, church, country. Pray back to God his will and intention for that matter. Don’t be surprised if you become passionate about that too!

“When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.” Matthew 14:14
Jesus is God. He is still pursuing mankind with His love. He is still manifesting compassion on the broken and sick in this world and healing.
Father stretch forth your hand and heal as we go and share the Gospel of Grace with boldness. Let the King of Glory and His reign of Glory be manifest in all the earth. The full expression of heaven on earth in Jesus Name!!!

Eph. 1:18 “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know the hope of his calling…” Father we pray for this same spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowing of you to prevail upon our understanding and capture the imagination and vision of those who are yours, stirring us to know, understand and engage the fullest measure of your call on our lives in this generation. In Jesus name!

Sharing our ‘legitimate’ cares with our ‘loving’ Father, knowing He is passionately invested in us. With confidence, I cast it ALL upon Him, trusting HIM completely!

Pastor Zach: I really liked your prayer presentation…and the new word I learned today. Proseuché
Strong’s #4335- has within its root etymology the idea of an exchange of wishes. I like that idea and will definitely put those prayer directives into action.

Father God, my biggest care and concern is for my father here on earth. I do know you love and care for him as he enters his final years. So now Father in Heaven, let me hear of your wishes for me to pray for. Anticipation abounds!

What an amazing God! You desire that we pour out our heart to You, to not hold anything back from You, to commune with You. As we engage in prayer, may we see lives transformed, hearts changed and destinies fulfilled. We love You, Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
