Day #2 – 10 Days Of Prayer 2016

10 Days Of Prayer 2016
Day #2 — Pray For Leaders

Welcome to our second day of 10 Days of Prayer.

We should always pray for those in authority. Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” Quite an image. The heart of a leader is in the hand of the Lord. The Lord has great influence over leaders.

This verse gives clear direction and hold wonderful promise.
1 Timothy 2:1-3
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Direction:
Pray for everyone with all forms of prayer.
He specifically says to pray for leaders. Some translations say “especially” leaders.

Promise:
We will then live a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
It is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour.
A climate is prepared for the true to be shared and many to be saved.

In the time of this direction given to Timothy he would have been asked to pray for some very corrupt and pagan leaders. But his obedience to pray would gain wonderful results.

If we pray for our leaders we will get these results. Who our leaders are is never the problem. A leaders heart is in the hand of God. We only have problems when we do not commit ourselves to pray for our leaders.

PRAY FOR CHURCH LEADERS

We need to pray for those who lead the church.

Jesus requested support for himself from his disciples. Matthew 26:38 “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.” They instead fell asleep. Even Jesus, the Son of God, sought support in His mission.

The Apostle Paul asked for prayer support for His heaven sent mission.

2 Thessalonians 3:1 “FURTHERMORE, BRETHREN, do pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed on (spread rapidly and run its course) and be glorified (extolled) and triumph, even as [it has done] with you,…”

Colossians 4:3 “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:…”

Ephesians 6:19 “And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,…”

1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.”

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

Follow this progression with me:
Paul asks for prayer so that he a door of utterance would be opened for the revelation he was given.
Then he asked that utterance would be given to him and that he would speak with boldness.
Then he says a wide door has been opened to him.
Then he says his preaching was accompanied by the power of God.

We should follow this same pattern:
Lets pray open a door of utterance.
Let’s pray utterance may given with bold proclamation.
Let’s pray for a demonstration of power to accompany the

We must pray for a wide door to be opened to us to go through and declare the word the Lord has given us with a demonstration of the power of God!!!

Our prayer will open the door to the prevailing word of God.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES:

  1. Pray for all with all prayer. Let the Lord direct you right now. There may be a specific intercession He desires you to make. A sudden encounter with a situation where god calls you to make the difference by standing in the gap.
  2. Pray for our National, Provincial and Municipal leaders:
Prime Minister Trudeau    Premiere Wynn       Mayor Matt Brown
  3. Pray for those who lead the church. Pray for the Pastors and leaders in the city of London.
  4. Pray for Pastor Karl and Cheryl and our local leaders. Pray for those who lead in ACC.
  5. Pray for our services this weekend.

The are located at Highbury and Huron. Please come out. This is going to be a significant year of breakthrough for our city.

We are praying for the Lord, who is the King over the Kings of the Earth, to give His wisdom to our political leaders and that for their sakes, His church would manifest as the light of the world, the city set on a hill, and the chief of all governments in the earth. The city that God is building, the one that Abraham looked for, whose builder and maker is God, is set to accelerate and advance, taking its position, shining its light, set high on a hill giving light and witness to our leaders, enabling them to make decisions in light of the divine wisdom on display in the house of God. We are praying for a release in the church, the pillar and ground of truth, of creative solutions to our worlds problems and favour to bring them to our leaders.

We also pray that our leaders in the church in general would have a vision of the heavenly city that we are, that they would be given the wisdom to build wth God as wise master builders according to the heavenly plan. We pray that the influence and access that His apostles and prophets have to the church, the greater and wider church, would increase and broaden, doors of opportunity and favour opening to take the government of God and the apostolic gospel of the Christ’s resurrection life and the testimony of Jesus to the whole of what is called the church, giving witness to Christ’s resurrection with great power, signs, and wonders.

Father God we are filled with such thankfulness in this new year 2016, because as a church, we are the light of the world, set on a hill, for the world to see, that cannot be hidden. We come into your throne room of grace with confidence today, knowing that you hear our prayers today, and when we know how to go into this place, with confidence, we will get astonishing results! We pray for all our leaders of Canada today that their hearts would be influenced with Godly people around them who know who they are in you, to impart into them, and their prayers will have an effect as well for them, Increase by association! Thank you for our pastor’s who hear your voice, who have revelation to take our church to new levels in you, in 2016. We thank you that times of refreshing, and that rivers of living water are flowing out of their inmost being as the leaders of Impact church. They know they don’t have to make it happen, But they know how to receive it by faith, through your amazing Grace! We are a church who is going to walk in this revelation, that we don’t have to fight heaven on this, all of heaven is on our side. We are also believing this will spread into all of London’s leaders who pastor as well, we thank you for this Lord Jesus! We thank you Lord that we will not be a church with double mindedness, no, if the water rises, we will be water walkers, we are a church with authority in your promises! Thank you for our guest speaker this weekend, and that the service will be full of signs and wonders! Expectation, that is what is in our hearts! We will not be on cruise control, and just coast, no we are advancing forward in you, and we know you hear each and everyone of us that is praying and we receive the answers!

Lord, I do pray for the Pastors in this city. I pray a renewing, and a refreshing, for each and every one. I pray, Father, that you would remind each of your goodness. They would have a fresh revelation of You. I pray that they would experience a fresh baptism of your love. I pray this would translate into a passion for equipping, wisdom on leading their Churches, and a love for the family of God. I pray you would send people into their pathways that would encourage them and work along side of them. I pray that 2016 would be a year of great rest, yet great harvest for them. I pray for their marriages and their families, and I plead your blood over each of them. Thank You Lord that You are opening doors of utterance and influence. We believe for a boldness – the boldness comes when we are filled with Your Holy Spirit. We believe for demonstrations of Your power. Not just for the Pastors, but for all of Your family. We are excited for people to see You Lord. May they see You first in us.

Thank you most Holy and exalted Lord, for allowing us to take part in praying for our leaders. I thank you Lord for Pastor Cheryl and Pastor Karl and I ask that you always keep the strong lines of communication open between you and them, ever increasing with dreams and visions galore. Sshower down more and more and more of your wisdom, revelation and love.. Looking back, I am continually astonished to see you work in the lives of those in authority in the workplace. I pray that the mayor Matt Brown and city council will be led by the Holy Spirit to work together keeping the city of London and its citizens the focus of their endeavours. It is not a hard thing for you to drop pearls of wisdom from on high to Ontario’s Premier Wynn. I join in prayer for our new Prime Minister Trudeau, let his advisors be honourable and true. Lead him in what you would have him to do. This verse in Proverbs 1:5 in the Amplified Bible sums it all up for me that the Holy Spirit will accomplish :through our prayers for our leaders. “”The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skill and attain to sound counsel (so that he may be able to steer his course rightly). God bless all of our leaders.

Father, we boldly declare in agreement with the promise of your Word: “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine” (Isaiah 9:2). You are the Father of Heavenly Lights who has pierced this world of darkness with the glorious presence of the Light of the World, and you are calling us, your image bearers, to shine brighter and brighter as never before. As we lift up our world, national and local leaders in prayer, may they be encouraged and equipped with greater wisdom and insight, goodness and kindness, and a deep desire to serve from hearts overflowing with love and compassion.

Father, we pray too, for our world, national and local church leaders. May they continue to abide in the presence of the Great Shepherd. Provide them with the sure and certain assurance of your loving kindness and faithfulness as they follow you and shepherd their own flocks. We thank you especially for the faithful and loving service of our Pastors – Karl and Cheryl, and we ask that your hand of favour and blessing will remain exceedingly upon them.

Thank you, Father, that your Word promises that: “The lovers of God walk on the highway of light, and their way shines brighter and brighter until they bring forth the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). We gratefully proclaim that our future is as bright and certain as the promises of you – our God!

And He is BEFORE all things, and in Him all things HOLD TOGETHER.
Thank you for your son, Jesus, Father God and for your Kingdom reign and authority and for all of those you have created and put in authority, bless them, keep them, direct them.

Father God, I pray for the leader of our country, Prime Mimister Justin Trudeau that he seek you for counsel and Your peace before meetings, and that he would hear your still small voice. Also for Premier Wynn for she has been put in a psition of authority by the people, give her strength for this job, and let her remember that she needs to hear from you for she so needs to hear that still voice to help her make decisions and to give her peace. And Lord we also lift up Mayor Matt Brown in his new job for direction on high.

Lord we beseech thee to help these leaders of our country, province, and our city to lift them up for your blessings to help them do a good job in your eyes. Let them know, by the Holy Spirit, that all is okay.

Lord almighty God, I also pray the Pastors in other churchs, to beseech you for guidance from on high in leading your flocks in their different church buildings, to hear your voice and to feel your Spirit and to lift you up in prayer and praise…

And last of all, I lift our Pastors, Karl and Sheryl up to you for strength, direction, and for Peace from on high.

Father I thank you for all of the leaders throughout this nation (on all levels) and in the World. We bless them and pray that the gospel message that they carry inside of them, the LIGHT, would be stirred up inside of them. That it would begin to shine so bright, it would flow down into the spheres that they influence! We bless the leaders of this nation with wisdom and strength from You, with God ideas and solutions. We pray for the Sunday morning service that there would be an abundance of life and love flowing through everyone! And we declare that the Sunday evening prayer meeting would be the beginning of something incredible and that it is going to be a significant night. In Jesus name AMEN!

2 Peter 1:11 says “For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Yesterday, the Lord gave me the word about not being drunk with wine but being filled by the Holy Spirit. Now is the time to lift up the leaders and also the world, as many are falling into debauchery (alcohol, sexual immorality and the like) so I pray Lord, God that we raise up a standard and although we may be maligned (persecution is part of the package :)) that we will march to the same drum and usher in the Kingdom of God, declaring and prophetically proclaiming what God looks like so the blind may see and the deaf may hear. Father, strengthen your leaders and I thank them for their example and bless them in the works of their hands. I asked God the other day what is the purpose to life and He said that the purpose of human existence is love. Love God, love your neighbour and love yourself. If that were to happen, what a wonderful world it will be. Peace.

God we are so privileged to be able to pray for our leaders and pray for our nation. We set aside our national, provincial, and municipal season in this spirit. Lord we thank you that the hearts of our leaders are in your hands. Bless them as they make decisions for our nation. God bless our church leaders all over the world and especially our ACC leaders as they lead and make decisions for my favourite authentic group of Christians in Canada. More people need to experience the flora of the Apostolic Church In Canada. We believe for growth and strategy for our leaders in Jesus name.
