Baptism In The Holy Ghost Is not Optional!

Ezekiel 36: 25-27
“I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes…” 

Prophecy Of John The Baptist
John 1:29
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Luke 3:16 / Matthew 3:11 / Mark 1:8
“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” 

Of all the things John could have said Jesus would do … He summarized His ministry as He will remove sin and He will fill mankind with the person presence and power of the Holy Ghost

“Baptizo” :– to submerge, to immerse, to pickle, to saturate causing  a permanent change —not a dip!!!
Be saturated with the nature and ability of Christ to fulfill His purpose in the earth.

Three Baptisms:

1. Spirit baptizes the believer into Christ / Body
2. Disciple baptizes a believer in water
3. Jesus baptizes believer in the Holy Spirit 

Priority Of Jesus  Luke 24:45,49
“And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. … Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” 

Even with full understanding of scripture Jesus priority for ministry was “wait” until you are pickled with the Holy Ghost 

Acts 1:4-5    (Jesus last words!)
“He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 

Jesus comes back to the words of John …  The ultimate manifestation of Jesus completed ministry is a Blood bought, Baptized in Holy Ghost Fire, body of believers filling the earth with His Glory — Goodness.

Practice Of Early Church

Acts 8:12-17  “Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, …   … who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.” 

Believe — Baptized In Water — Baptized in Holy Ghost 

The apostles when the heard the samaritans received the message … immediately went to be sure they were baptized in the Holy Spirit 

Acts 10:45-47   “…the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, ‘Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?’” 

Believe  —  Baptized in Holy Ghost —  Baptized In water. 

Acts 19:2, 5-6
“We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit. …  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” 

Believe  —  Baptized in Holy Ghost —  Baptized In water. 

Powerful Outpouring  Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;…”
Power:– {dunamis} inherent power, explosive TNT, Dynamite
Power to produce 5 things: 1. Miracles 2. Morality  3. Money  4. Multiplication
5. Movement   (Strongs #1411) 

I am no more a believer and no more in union with the Godhead … I passionately embrace the super on my natural!!! 

Luke 9:1 “Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.”

They had already witnessed. They had participated in miracles and cast out devils.  

What’s the difference then? 

Matthew 26:74
“Then he began to curse and swear, saying, ‘I do not know the Man!’” 

Guy afraid of a slave girl is now bold in front of the people who had Jesus beaten and killed went from cowardice to boldness. 

Acts 2:33  (Peter) “Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.” 

Acts 4:8-10
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 

Powerful Continuous Ministry —To Personally Receive and Release 

John 7:37-39
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given,”  

Vitals For Holy Ghost Living
1. Receive
The most difficult thing to hide is that which you do not possess.
2. Release
The Spirit is a river of Divine life that flows to you to go through you.  

Receiving The Spirit 

7. Pino:–to drink figuratively, to receive what serves to refresh strengthen, nourish
John 7:37 “…let him come to Me and drink.”
1 Corinthians 12:13 “…baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.” 

Ephesians 5:18 {MSG}
“Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him.”
“…Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you.” {NLT}
“…but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.” {AMP}  

Ways Of Releasing The Spirit

1. Rivers Of Worship
John 4:24 “…must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
2. Rivers Of Witness
Acts 1:8 “…receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…”
3. Rivers Of Ministry
Mark 16:17-18 “…and these signs shall follow Those who believe …lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
4. Rivers Of Gifts
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:” Distribute
5. Rivers Of Intercession
Romans 8:26-27 “…the Spirit Himself maketh intercession …”
6. Rivers Of Strength
Jude 20 “…building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,” 1 Cor. 14:4 “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.”
7. Rivers Of Fruitfulness
Galatians 5:22-23 “… fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
8. Rivers Of Revelation
Ephesians 1:17-18 “…the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:”
9. Rivers Of Joy and Peace
Romans 15:13
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
