“A dead Christ I must do everything for; a living Christ does everything for me.”  Andrew Murray

2 Samuel 9:11,13 “As for Mephibosheth,” said the king, “he shall eat at my table like one of the king’s sons.” — “So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.”

John 14:1-4 NLT
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

John 14:29“I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.”
You will believe that I have secured a place in the Father for you when you experience two things:
1. Peace    2. Holy Spirit

John 20:19-22“Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! ‘Peacebe with you,’ he said. As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord! Again he said, ‘Peace be with you. …Then he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’”

1 Samuel 7:1“Then the men of Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.”
Period where God’s presence wasn’t pursued.

1 Chronicles 13:3“…let us bring the ark of our God back to us…” David desired what Jesus provided.
John 17:21“I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in usso that the world will believe you sent me.”

2 Sa. 6:6-16, / 1 Ch. 13:5-14
Ark stumbled at Nachon, Chidon.    “Nachon”:– preparation        “Chidon”:– javelin, ruin
David’s failure to prepare became his ruin.   How does God’s presence come to us???
VS.12 “David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring the ark of God to me?”

David thought he would bring the presence of God to town with strength and might, driving an ox cart, just like the philistines did.
Uzzah” :— strength, might  “Ahio” :— resembling, just like    Not by might or by power but by my SPIRIT NOT BOARDS AND BIG WHEELS

2 Samuel 6:10“So David would not remove the ark of the Lord unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.”   Gittite:— inhabitant of Gath, gentile.

1 Chronicles 13:14
“The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.”   All Obed-Edom did was open his door.
The presence of God was house by a gentile and it was GLORY all around!!!

1 Chronicles 15:13-14, “For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order. … bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, … they offered seven bulls and seven rams.”(BLOOD)

Access to the Glory is found exclusively through the blood of Jesus.
His gracious act of redemption has granted you access to His presence!!!
Davids tent had no separations … only sacrifice was 24/7 worship
Everyone had access!!!

The Tabernacle of Moses
It showed the perfection needed to come before the Presence of God. No sin. No illegitimacy.
The Tabernacle of David
It showedthe mercy of God. Faith in God’s promise and His Character. Makes a way so all would have equal access to God’s Presence.

Isaiah 16:5 In mercythe throne will be established; And Onewill sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, Judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.”

Amos 9:11 “IN THAT DAY will I raise up the TABERNACLE OF DAVID that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will BUILD it as in the days of old.”
Acts 15:16 “After this I WILL RETURN, and will BUILD AGAIN the TABERNACLE OF DAVID, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up.”

Obed Edom opened his door to allow God’s presence His house.
When You Experience HIM:
1. You Leave Familiar Things     1 Chronicles 15:21“Obed-Edom”  He left with the ark!!!
Galatians 5:25“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

2. You Become A Servant
1 Chronicles 15:24, 26:8   “…Obed-Edom and Jehiah, doorkeepers for the ark.”
1 Corinthians 10:31  “Therefore, whether youeat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

3. You Are Given Authority
1 Chronicles 26:15 “…to Obed-Edom the South Gate, and to his sons the storehouse.”
Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority … to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

4. You Are Given Provision
1 Chronicles 26:15 “…to his sons the storehouse.”
Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

5 You Are Given His Trust
2 Chronicles 25:24“And he took all the gold and silver, all the articles that were found in the house of God with Obed-Edom”
Colossians 1:27“…riches of the glory … which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Access to the Glory is found exclusively through the blood of Jesus.
His gracious act of redemption has granted you access to His presence!!!   His Glory Is Gushing Through You!!!

David sent the presence of God to the home of a gentile farmer. All he did was open the door!
The resurrection means that God is back and he wants to dwell with you. Open the door of your heart.
Change your life FOREVER!!!

Galatians 3:26 “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”
Someone is knocking at the door!  Easter allows a change of address for God and for us. In Us In Him!!!
