Psalm 103:1-5
“…And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 103:4“Redeems Your Life From Destruction.”
Ga’al:— to redeem from slavery, to redeem land, to exact vengeance, to redeem by payment to redeem          individuals from death.

 Romans 6:17-19
“Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.”

1 Samuel 1, 3-4 “…the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. … Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.”

2 Samuel 9
David’s demonstrates redemption
Mephibosheth:– exterminate the idol, destroy or remove shame.
Machir:– to sell yourself, sold out.
Lo-debar:– barren place, not a pasture, Nothing, No promise.

5 Observations
1. The Fall Caused Crippling
2 Samuel 4:4
“…he fell, and became lame…”
In Adam humanity fell and has lost any ability to help itself.

2. A King Has A Word To Keep
1Samuel 20:15-16
“…thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever:… Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David,…”
A covenant/promise to fulfill.    Genesis 3:15  “…her Seed; He shall bruise your head,…”

3. Ignorance Results Barrenness
1 Samuel 9:4  …Lo Debar…  No Promise
John 10:10“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

4. Love Of Another Is Qualifier
2 Samuel 9:7
“…I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake,…”
Ephesians 1:6
“…to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

5. Restoration Is The Purpose
2 Samuel 9:9
“…I have given unto thy master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.”
Ephesians 2:6
“…made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”

4 Greek Words For Redeem:
1. Agorazo: The marketplace for slaves.
Revelation 5:9
“…For You were slain, And have
redeemedus to God by Your blood…”
Jesus entered the marketplace as a slave and became a slave.

2. Exagorazo: Out of the marketplace for slaves.
Galatians 3:13
“Christ has redeemedus from the curse of the law,…”
Jesus came to redeem us—buy us out of the slave market so we could never be put on the slave block again.

3. Lutrosis: The full cost of a slave.  (How much will it cost me?)
Hebrews 9:12
“…but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”
The highest cost that has ever been expressed for anyone was manifest for us—the blood of Jesus. (The Life Of God)

4.Apolutrosis: 4. Apolutrosis: He fully secured a slave’s freedom.
Ephesians 1:7
“In Him we have redemptionthrough His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
Secured our freedom and established us in place where we can not be moved.

Jesus entered the marketplace for slaves.
Jesus brought us out so we will never be slaves again.
The highest cost that has ever been expressed for anyone was manifest for us—the blood of GOD.
He secured our freedom and established us in place where we can not be moved.

“A dead Christ I must do everything for; a living Christ does everything for me.”
Andrew Murray

1 Peter 2:24
“…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
Knowledge of forgiveness does remove the reproach or condemnation from our lives.

2 Samuel 9:11,13
“As for Mephibosheth,” said the king, “he shall eat at my table like one of the king’s sons.
“So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.”

John 1:12-13
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
