Psalm 105:37, 39-41 He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes … He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night. The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river.”

“Hiroo Onoda” The war ended August 1945 and he surrendered to his former commander in 1974.

Romans 8:15-17 “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint  heirs with Christ,”

Galatians 4:4-7 “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,  to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons …”

“… And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

The Israelites had been freed form the bondage of Egypt but the were trapped by a mindset that would keep them from being able to enjoy their freedom.
Many believers today have been so impacted by the way this fallen world works that they find sonship hard to embrace.

Exodus 15:13 “With your unfailing love you lead  the people you have redeemed. In your might, you guide them  to your sacred home.”
3 Days later:Exodus 15:24 “…people complained and turned against Moses.

1 Corinthians 10:1-13 (NLT) I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters,[a] about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground. 2 In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses. 3 All of them ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. 5 Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 6 These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, 7 or worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, “The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry.”[b] 8 And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day. 9 Nor should we put Christ[c] to the test, as some of them did and then died from snakebites. 10 And don’t grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death. 11 These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. 12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

VERSE 13 (AMP)  “For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and [b]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [c]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.”

Being unthankful is the cornerstone, the launching point, for every corrupting influence.
Philippians 2:14 “Do all things without complaining and disputing”
1 Peter 4:9 “Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.”

The wilderness was a place for them to go through, it was not a destination.
Sadly they did not place their confidence in God and a generation ended up dying in the wilderness.
They didn’t enter into the promise of God.

You must embrace your position as a child of God. Four lessons that allow us to complete the transition:
1. The Cross Changes Everything    2. Daily Embrace Bread Of Life
3. Daily Drink The Spirit Of God     4. Victory Can Only Be Received

1. Cross Changes Everything
Exodus 15:25-26“…the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.”
“I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

Colossians 1:19-20“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”

2. Daily Embrace Bread Of Life.
Exodus 16:3-4 “‘For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.’ Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you.’”
God will never fail to provide for and satisfy His children.

John 6:33, 35 “For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.’”

Matthew 6:11 “Give us this day our daily bread.”

3. Daily Drink The Spirit Of God
Exodus 17:3, 6 “‘Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?’ … and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.’”

John 7:37-38 “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. … out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
Ephesians 5:18  “…but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.”

4. Victory Can Only Be Received
Exodus 17:12-15 “So his hands held steady until sunset.  As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle … I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi…”

Amalek was their first attack. Amalek also attacked every straggler.
vs. 16“…the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.”
Descendant of Esau. Haman was an Agagite. Herod was from this family line as well.

Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live IN the faith OF the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Romans 8:37 “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
I am a child of God. I am His responsibility. All my needs are met in Him!!!  Sons not Slaves
