265 Jesus – The Chain Breaker

• It is an important season in the church for prayer
• Jesus the chain breaker
• Jesus that Name above all names
• Who can and will break any chains that hold you
• Any chains that bind you up in addictions, or habits
• Jesus a name that sets people free to find a freedom
• To find a joy, to find a hope they never thought possible
• Miracles taking place that are setting people free from physical illnesses
• Breaking the chains of the enemy that were placed on us
• BUT FOR GOD who comes to free us
• BUT JESUS who came to remove the sting of the enemy
• Jesus is OUR chain breaker
• So to move ahead it’s an important time to prayer for revival

• READ ACTS 3:1 – 19 (Times of refreshing)
• Read vs. 6 & 7 – In Jesus name the lame shall stand
• Jesus name requires the faith to ask
• But when you ask EXPECT something to happen
• Because Jesus came to set people free
• He came to break the chains of oppression off of people
• Jesus came to go down, and once and for all to show the devil who is in charge – ‘HE made a spectacle of him!’
• In Jerusalem Peter & John are going to a prayer mtg.
• ‘and a certain man’ – no name,
• daily faithful family and friends took this man to the temple gate to beg
• NOTE: sometimes you need friends for your breakthrough
• Friends to support you in your time of weakness
• It’s interesting that Jesus Himself never healed this man
• Jesus walked by this lame, broken, hurting man each time He went to the temple
• Jesus had seen him many times
• there must have been a reason or a plan, a purpose
• A certain man – God has an appointment for him
• At a certain time – God has a plan – timing is part of it
• HEY there are some of you waiting for your healing
• Some of you waiting for a break through and I am here today to encourage you
• Help is on the way
• I am here today to encourage Jesus never walks by those in need unless He has a plan for you
• Jeremiah 29: 11 – ‘for I know the plans I have FOR YOU’ says the Lord
• Jesus had passed this man many times but today was going to be his day
• This miracle is a testimony of AWE! great power
• DO NOT – DO NOT let the enemy tell you – it is too late
• IT is NOT going to happen – At a certain time!
• Acts 3: 8 – 10
• People can’t believe it – is it really him? – the lame man
• Your worship will attract people
• Your response will bring in people to see WHAT has happened
• It is important to testify of what God has done
• Look at the result of this miracle – Acts 4: 4
• ‘Many – many people heard and believed – 5000
• WOW 1 act of faith to stop and listen to a cry for help
• One act of faith to say in Jesus name and to reach out
• To offer a hand to help the man up
• Peter believed it WAS going to happen
• Peter walked in such a level of expectation that he said it and reached out
• It is important to note that Peter was full here
• Full of what – The Holly Spirit – Peter was full of life and power
• That same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead ALSO DWELLS IN YOU!
• All because of Jesus blood we win
• All because of our testimony and Jesus blood we now overcome the enemy

• The good news is, you may not be the best qualified
• You may not be the best trained
• You may not be the best speaker
• But when you are FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT
• Great things can happen, and will happen
• Through You – Speak the Word
• Speak with Faith  – cut the chains
• Speak the Word, that is the Sword of the Spirit
• It says in Ephesians that the Sword of the SPIRIT – is the Word of God
• It is a chain breaking, demon killing, disease stopping anointing that will cause people to run to hear it, and see it
• 11 – the people ran to them
• NLT – they rushed out in amazement to go and hear
• * when God moves in your life – tell people what the Lord has done *
• Let them run to you and join in your celebration
• when they come tell them of Jesus – to repent, to be saved
• Prayer – it is an important season for prayer
• I believe the Holy Spirit is prompting us to press in
• I believe we are coming to a crucial stage
• That we are on the edge of a great outpouring, and prayer is ALWAYS a must
• But Prayer also releases the supernatural
• It released His ear in us, to hear what and when
• What to do and when
• A certain man – why now – why him
• A certain man
• it has been appointed unto you – the Lord said
• A certain time – why now – I’ve been going through hell
• H, E, double hockey sticks, HELL for months
• Why is God moving now, I’m frustrated, I’m tired, I’m?
• But God’s Word says He will teach us patience
• He will teach to grow,
• The Word says God will build in us, His gifts
• you are called to give birth to the supernatural
• Remember birthing takes time
• You can be birthing miracles through prayer
• Real prayer – powerful prayer
• Prayer is NOT theology
• Prayer is not a formula
• Prayer is an act of faith
• the Word says real sincere, earnest prayer of righteous
• those prayers will touch the gates of Heaven
• We are called to speak out – prayers, words of faith
• we are called speak the Word, and the Name of Jesus

• * learn to forget the lie you are not qualified
• Trust God and press in for your miracle
• Your prayers can bring forth miracles
• Your miracles might just be for that certain man
• They might just be at that certain time God has ordained it to be for an entire family
• Look at Acts 4:31 when they prayed the place was shaken
• Your prayers will shake Heaven and earth
• Your prayers will shake the very foundations of opposition
• Your prayers will release the Holy Spirit to go forth
• In Acts 16 – it appears its done for Paul & Silas
• falsely accused, beaten, not just beaten lightly but with rods
• those rods are meant to break bones, often in their feet
• then thrown into prison
• but Worship changes the atmosphere
• Worship changes your heart
• Worship changes your focus
• In the good and the bad – worship the Lord
• Your praises will open doors, your opposition has tried to close
• Read Acts 16: 23-32  – but at midnight – yes  I’ve been beaten, bruised, in tremendous pain
• yes at midnight
• That is the time I really want to praise the Lord
• But Paul and Silas take time to stop and praise the Lord
• They were singing, and they were praying
• FOLKS – Pray like you mean it, believe for a miracle
• Have an expectation – raise your level of expectation
• vs. 25 – I find it interesting that they were singing loud enough for everyone to hear them
• The prisoners were listening to them
• Your actions – your words have power and authority and influence in them
• Be wise — be strong in the Lord
• Be trustworthy with the Name of the Lord
• It says ‘again’ vs. 26 – the place was shaken
• A GREAT earthquake — the foundations were shaken

• Your prayers are chain breaking prayers
• Your prayers have the power to shake the foundations
• Foundations of opposition against you – the church
• Against your family – a mountain – needs to go in Jesus name
• But when God moves – Those God encounters will change lives – many will come
• Jesus is a chain breaking – earth quaking power
• Don’t give up – let your prayers shake the place and break off chains off of you and others
