Last Supper — John 16 “The Helper”

First lesson that must be embraced for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
They key to great personal and corporate revival: “…love one another; as I have loved you …”
It looks like: A Towel
John 13:5 “He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.”

John 14:1-3, 23  “Let not your heart be troubled … In My Father’s house are many mansions (dwellings); … I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also … make Our home (dwelling) with him.”

John 15:1-6  “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit … Abide in Me, and I in you …If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out … go and bear fruit, … fruit should remain,…”

“takes away” (Airo) :— to raise up, elevate, lift up, to raise from the ground, take up,to raise upwards, elevate, to take upon one’s self and carry what has been raised up…
“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He lifts from dirt …” Elevates,turns your face to Him.

Mark 2:11 “I say to you, arise, take up (Airo) your bed, and go to your house.”
When you have made a decision to accept Him you abide in Him. If you are fruitful He will make you more fruitful. If you are fruitless He will LIFT YOU UP … make you fruitful.

John 15:2 “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;”
John 2:8 “And He said to them, ‘Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.’ And they took it.”
phero:—to carry some burden, to be conveyed or borne, to bring forward in a speech

Galatians 5:19,22-25
“Now the works of the flesh are evident (obvious), … But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control … If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
(AMP) “…the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes]”

1 John 4:15 “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”

John 15:16  “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

John 16:1-4  “These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service … And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”

John 16:16-24
“A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father … “Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

John 16:25-32  “Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:5-15
5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

John 14:16-17  “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. the Spirit of truth, … but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
Allos:— another,

Matthew 11:3 “…and said to Him, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’”heteros:— the other in number or quality, one not of the same nature, form, class, kind, different

John 14:26  “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
AMPLIFIED “…another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby),…”

John 15:26  “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”
Parakletos :— summoned, called to one’s side, esp. called to one’s aid. My personal Divine Help.

John 16:15 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;…”
Aletheia :— truth, Objectively: what is true in any matter under consideration. Subjectively: Authentic living, personal excellence.

John 16:8 “He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”
Elegcho :— to bring to the light, to expose, convince, reprove.
Holy Spirit will come and give everyone a clear revelation of sin, righteousness and judgment.

John 16:9 “…of sin, because they do not believe in Me;…”
Holy Spirit wants to convince the world that Jesus is the cure to sin.
Romans 5:15 (NLT) “…But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.”

Acts 26:18  “…to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”      You can’t earn or work for forgiveness … YOU RECEIVE IT!

John 16:10 “…of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; …”
Holy Spirit wants to convince the world that Jesus did it right.
Romans 5:17 “…much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”        

2 Corinthians 5:21  “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Hebrews 9:12  “…but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”

John 16:11 “…of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Holy Spirit wants to convince the world that Satan is defeated.
Hebrews 2:14
“…that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,…”

Colossians 2:15  “In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.”

GOOD NEWS!!!
Jesus is the only cure to sin. He declares you righteous. Your accuser is destroyed.
