Prodigy:— a person, especially a child or young person, having extraordinary talent or ability.
Matthew 21:16 “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise”

(AMP) “Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babies You have prepared and provided praise for Yourself”

Worship is not a Christian thing it is a human thing.
You are designed for it and you are world class.
The question today is, “what do you worship?”
Follow your time and your treasure and you will find out.

Matthew 4:10 “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
You will become a servant to what you worship.

Worship :— (Proskuneo) compound word — towards and to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand.
Worship :—to be devoted to and full of admiration for, to have or express feelings of profound adoration
Worship :— a response to what we value most.

Could have called this series the KISS … the dog lick!

Acts 17:22-23  “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.”

Romans 1:21-23  “Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like…. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.”

John 4:23-24  “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

God wants to be at the top of your list in everything and all the time.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

God is after your heart!
Matthew 15:8-9  “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,…”        

Romans 12:1 (NIV)
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
True worship can only be expressed through the lens of God’s mercy!!!

Luke 7:36-50
36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. (Not a friendly invite … he want to question Jesus … a chance to expose him … assumed that Jesus would be offended when not respected … Like most pharisees would) And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman (and the LOOK! a woman) in the city who was (I was … had been) a sinner, when she knew (had been touched by His ministry … grateful) that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood (May have come just to bring a gift but then broke down … overwhelmed with gratitude)at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, (exposed the dirt on his feet … see the tracks of her tears) and wiped them with the hair of her head; (then she let her hair down)  and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”  (He’s not a prophet … a prophet wouldn’t allow this got you!!!)
40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.”
So he said, “Teacher, say it.”
41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?” Denarii (days wage)
43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.
And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, (personal greeting of host) but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. (John 12:5 Why not sold for 300 Denarii … 11/2 – 2 years wages … investments) 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved (Sozo:– save, rescue, deliver, to heal, to restore, to secure.)  you. Go in peace.”

Remarkable act of worship and there were no words recorded. Genuine Worship Has:
1. Action — Water
2. Honour — Kiss
3. Sacrifice — Fragrant Oil
You serve what you worship.

Exodus 34:14 (NLT)
“You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.”

Ephesians 2:4-5 (NLT)
“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)”
 You are to die for!!!
