Romans 16:13 “Greet Rufus, whom the Lord picked out to be his very own; and also his dear mother, who has been a mother to me.”

Psalm 57:7 (KJV) “My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.”

“fixed” (kûwn) :– to be firm, be stable, be established, to be ready, prepared.

Psalm 57:7 (MSG)  “I’m ready, God, so ready, ready from head to toe. Ready to sing, ready to raise a tune:”

Acts 20:24  “But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

Acts 20:24 Message  “What matters most to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.”

Galatians 6:9  “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”    

DON’T QUIT!!!   DETERMINATION …MY HEART IS FIXED!!!!

Invoke:— call upon, appeal to, summon

Acts 5:40-41 “…they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them … rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.”

Ezekiel 36:22-23  “And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name and separate it for its holy purpose from all that defiles it–My name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them–and the nations will know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord,”

David Honoured God’s Name 

1 Samuel 17:45-46 “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand,…”

Goliath:–(gollah) :– to behead ruthlessly, title, the champion, the terminator.  10 feet tall!  40 Days
His armor made of brass. A type filthiness and mixture. 6 cubits tall. 6 pieces of armor. Spear weighed 6 hundred shekels of iron.     He was a type of everything evil

Moving In The Spirit Of Faith

1. Understands His Covenant  “…is there not a cause?” vs. 29

(davar – rhema in septuigent) Do we not have a promise to appropriate. Accurate with the word.

2. Not Intimidated By Others
Eliab
— “Why do you come here?”   Saul — “You are not able.”
Goliath – “Cursed David mocked him…dog”

Philippians 1:28 Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.”

3. Experienced Past Victories
“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”  
vs. 36

4. Trusts Proven Equipment

“I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.” vs 39 

Weapons of our warfare are not carnal.   Sling Shot and 5 stones.

5. His Actions Bold
“…and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee …David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.” vs. 46-48     A Bold Decree A Bold Act   He was alone!!!!!!

6. Knows God Owns Battle
“And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.” vs. 47    All I should expect is victory.

Two gentiles came to Jesus with GREAT FAITH:

Faith of Centurion: “Great”:– (tos-oo’-tos) of quantity, so much, so large.

Gentile Woman’s Faith: “Great”:– (meg’-as) excellent, mighty, abundant, violent, intense, off the chart

Matthew 15:21-28 “‘O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.’ And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”

Message “…your faith is something else. What you want is what you get!”

Qualities Of Active Faith: 

1. Passionate – She cried out. This must change!

2. Knowledgable – Son of DAVID.  Informed 

3. Resilient – Not going to get offended. 

4. Extreme – “…dogs eat crumbs.”   NO DELAY Unconventional, pioneering, innovative, cutting-edge, radical,

         breakthrough!!!! There is a way!

5. Rewarded“As you desire.”
