Acts 3:26 “God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Acts 4:3-4 “And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.”

The Political Climate: The Sanhedrin wasn’t just a religious council; it was the supreme court of Israel, holding judicial, religious, and political weight under Rome’s oversight.

The Timing: The same power structures that collaborated to crucify Jesus were now trying to shut down this up start movement in its infancy.

Acts 4:10 “let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.”

Acts 4:13-14  “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.  And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.”

Acts 4:19-20 “But Peter and John answered and said to them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.’”

1. Magnify The Lord
4:24 “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,…”
Always begin by flooding your mind with the greatness of God.

Psalm 34:3-4 “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.”

2 Chronicles 6:14 “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven or on earth like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy…”

Nehemiah 1:5 “I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy…”

Matthew 6:9 “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.”

2. Reframe The Threats
Vs 25 “Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?”
What Does God Say? The Word. What Does God Do? Testimony

Psalm 2:4 “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.”
Ephesians 2:6 “…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”

Isaiah 54:17 “‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,’ Says the Lord.”

3 John 2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

Vs. 27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,…”
They tried to silence Jesus, but God raised Him from the dead. God has plans for us too!

3. Put A Demand On Boldness
Vs. 29 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness …”
Boldness is not optional!

Romans 12:11 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”

1 Thess. 5:19 “Do not quench the Spirit.” — “Don’t put out the Spirit’s fire.”
Isaiah 59:17 ”he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.”  

Exodus 15:3 “The Lord is a Man of War; the Lord is His name.”

Psalm 24:8,10 “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.”  
Here are the two hebrew words for might used above. gibbowr:— mighty, brave tsaba:-- goes forth to war.

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

1 John 5:14 (AMP) “And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.”  

Sovereign Lord, You made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.
We face pressures in our own time,
But we know nothing can stop the advance of Your kingdom.

Now, Lord, consider the threats against Your people.
And grant us boldness to speak Your word.
Stretch out Your hand to heal, to save, and to show signs of Your power.

Let miracles confirm the name of Jesus in our generation.
Fill us afresh with the Holy Spirit.
Shake this place, Lord, and shake our lives with Your presence.

We ask boldly in your Name.
The Name of the Lord of the Armies Of Heaven.
In Jesus Name! AMEN!
