The voice you listen to most will determine the future you live in.

Hearing The Voice Of The Spirit Is:
1. Innate — In your DNA
2. Learned — Use your words!
3. Matured — Revelation Knowledge 4. Attacked — Mark 4:15 “Satan comes immediately and takes away the word.”
5. It’s A Lifestyle

Proverbs 8:34 “Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.”

Daniel 9:2-3 “I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications…”

Luke 2:25-30 “And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law,  he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: ‘Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word;
For my eyes have seen Your salvation’"

Simeon:— harkening, able to hear.

Basic Hearing Skills:
1. Positioned “this man was just and devout”
A student of God’s ways. Rich in the word.

2. Relational “The Holy Spirit was upon him”
Hearing God is relational before it is prophetic.
Not merely guidance but communion.
Simeon was not using a technique; he was living in fellowship with the Spirit.

3. Focused “Waiting for the Consolation of Israel”
Waiting is not passive inactivity; it is active expectancy.
You become entrenched with God. You are tuned to His purpose.

“Waiting for God is not laziness. Waiting for God is not going to sleep. Waiting for God is not the abandonment of effort. Waiting for God means first activity under command; second, readiness for any new command that may come; third, the ability to do nothing until the command is given.”
  G. Campbell Morgan

4. Reliable “He came by the Spirit into the temple”
Learned to move with the Spirit consistently. Reliability means tested discernment.
The mature believer develops spiritual sensitivity through repeated obedience.

5. Finishers “He took Him up in his arms”
Simeon did not merely receive revelation—he responded to it fully.
Simeon embraced what heaven revealed.

The greatest qualification for the next season may not be talent, knowledge, or influence—but the ability to hear.
God governs His kingdom through revelation knowledge.
Heaven's agenda reaches earth through hearers who are Speak.
