Invoke:– call upon, appeal to, summon

“The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing form our prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.” Samuel Chadwick

“I would rather teach one man to pray than ten men to preach.” Charles Spurgeon

2 Chronicles 14:2, 9-13
2 Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God,  … 9 Then Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah. 10 So Asa went out against him, and they set the troops in battle array in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. 11 And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said, “Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” 12 So the Lord struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. 13 And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were overthrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the Lord and His army. And they carried away very much spoil.

Father you are for us. We pray for those who have been impacted by storms and those who have storms to face, surround them with your gracious hands and provide and protect. We speak to these storms and command them to cease. Father manifest yourself in these events. Demonstrate you love and compassion for people. I thanks you that we see you at work through the lives of those who show up at times like these and demonstrate kindness and generosity. “Lord it is nothing for you to help.” We go in your Name to those in need in our world. We want to be your hands and feet. We will show up so that your power can show up. Thank you Father … In Jesus’ Name!!! Amen

Peace and be still! – declares the Spirit of God. In stillness you will find His voice, in stillness you will find His peace, in stillness you will find His joy. The people of God will rest in His presence and engage in battles out of victory that is already won. We are more than conquerors in Christ and He has made us truly able ministers of His grace. With boldness we approach the throne and with boldness we move through the world as His ambassadors and appointed representatives. Glory indeed!

Awwwwww, I am resting in His presence, being still does brings peace and joy. I am sinking into His arms just now, knowing it is true what Gord says in the prayer above. He has done it all and yet, He gives us the ability to take part in his plans. He speaks to us in that still small voice and encourages us too. Terry and I used to teach Pioneer Boys for several years and the motto we spoke every week still rings true in my heart. Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I like to dwell on the fact that He leads me in the things up close and also in the path ahead. Like the disciples in the boat when the storms brew we can be upset at first, but we can settle down in Him and I do, I do. What a relief. I pray that everyone knows the presence of the Lord. He is so awesome. Thank you Lord
